I’m 62 and if somebody told me I’d still be walking at 82 I’d be a happy man ,I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say Pat is a true inspiration,love watching the two of you together,nice golf there Liam well played.

I am 65 and am just praying that my lower back injury will be resolved, as my legs are partially paralyzed. I can feel the pain my legs dow to my feet, but my feet don't feel anything. I have to use a walker because I fall very easily without any sensations in my feet.
It's no fun getting old!

I’m 38 with a back of an 80 year old. If I’m still swinging it like OMP at that age, i will consider it a miracle!

I am a 75 year old golfer. I started late in life after spending years playing, coaching and refereeing soccer! I have progressed slowly and currently have a 17 handicap. I know I can get better and I will. Watching Liam and his mates has been so helpful in giving me tips and just enjoyment in watching the antics! 😊
I'll be 69 next month and still walking my round twice a week & will continue to do so as long as my knees will let me! Pat is an inspiration that's for sure.

watching Liam with OMP is like a doting son completely looking after his father.. the adoration you have for OMP Liam is admirable .. the way you clean his clubs .. pick up his tees etc .. you are a good man x

I played with that nasty coming in from way outside for A few years until I decided to take "Golf" as my "Physical Fitness Elective" in college after the football ( American Football ) season was over. One of the first changes he made to my swing was almost exactly the same exercise OMP gave you Liam! I practiced the drill everyday after my classes, at a driving range near my house, until it became second nature! Who knows...maybe my golf pro knew OMP when he was a younger man many years ago!!! 😂😂😂😂
OMP is the superstar of this channel. I am always happy when I see he is in the video I am about to watch. An inspiration and example, more than any pros out there! Thank you, Legend!

Funny how a little simple tweak can change your swing. And how an old timer can spot that little thing and get you straightened out! I've just really figured out my driver but have been really struggling with my irons, one of my playing partners gave me a little tip that's helped, but that with OMP's tip may be what puts me over the top! Pat is an absolute legend!

Hi OMP good to see you out playing hope this comment finds you and your family doing well. You're always an inspiration to us. You still out there hitting them straight down the middle at 82 years young gives us youngsters (I'm 63 😁) something to shoot for. Yes sir you show the benefits of golf and a pint...or 2 with the plus of taking a fiver off your friends are what makes a good recipe for a long run at living your best life. What a joy to see OMP still think you should give him more shots Liam he’s twice your age and if I lived closer I’d definitely have a lesson or three with the legend he’d improve any one’s game ⛳️🏌🏼
It’s all been said about Pat (aka OMP), gentlemen, inspiration, example. Pat is just a joy to watch and although his game was not on top form in this video (he must have wanted you to win Liam) I think £5 for your lesson was a bargain. Long May he continue to play and give all us “Golfmates” absolute joy in watching and listening to him.

Great drill from OMP but I've been paying attention to Liam's swing since the Danny Maud lesson and this is the first time I've seen him play with the recommended closed shoulder alignment since then.
I remember another gem from OMP, a while back, to do with putting, and it's been invaluable. Pick your line, from behind the ball, but take note of anything on the green that's on the same line, just a tap in distance from the ball, then hit through it, simple but very effective, certainly works for me, thanks Pat 👍
Gotta say my irons have been awful and used Pats tips today and had my best round for a while. Hitting my Irons so much better. Thank you Pat! OMP Legend
I have just joined the channel and have been watching OMP's method of golf. I have been playing very high handicap golf but no more after watching how OMP swings and approaches the course. traffic light system makes total sense. thanks for the videos and keep them coming absolutely brilliant tips

Great game again and well done Liam. OMP has just shown you what I learnt from Danny Maude, and what you have been doing Liam is exactly the same as I have been doing for years, causing shanks and a very unhappy golfer. Now with the axe or lifting the club and turning drill I’m a very happy golfer. Well done OMP for that simple but so affective advice. It still creeps in with me but at least I know what’s happening now 🎉🎉👍👍🏌️♂️👏🍻
Been taking it away inside my whole life. Finally concentrated on taking it straight back yesterday on the back nine. Made a world of difference. Then to see this today confirms what I learned yesterday, Thanks Golf Mates!

Pat is just a legend, 82 years young still smashing it down the fairway
Having watched you for a couple of years I finally managed to get round Chorlton yesterday and really enjoyed it. Got a much better feel for the holes now when I watch. Despite being late September, the greens were in great condition and there was a good variety of holes. Only negative was all those geese and what they leave behind!! Must give my regards to the green keepers!

When pat talks I listen. Took some of his advice onboard a few months ago and shot a PB of 76 scratch. Was off 24 at the time as well, net 52. Cheers pat 🤝. Down to 16 now, keep the advice coming sir.

Good afternoon both of you. You guys played beautiful game I enjoyed it, man to watch 82 year old man playing such a fantastic game ,
If you’re on a range mat and can’t put a tee in behind your ball.. put a ball behind your club head and when you take the club away you want the ball either rolling straight back or slightly away from you.. if the ball rolls towards you then your takeaway is too far inside

Used that swing thought of sweeping back with my irons instead of up for my round at troon yesterday. Putter was stone cold but still went round in 3+. Absolutely flushed my irons though. Best I've played in a while

I am 53 and struggling to walk 18 holes due to muscle issues, so Pat truly is an inspiration to us all 🙂
Any chance OMP could do a video on putting. Just had a lesson from my pro and he was teaching the same technique that OMP uses which is to have at tiny amount of sway in the butt end of the putter in order to get a better roll on the ball. Would love to hear OMP'S thoughts about aim, technique and distance control 👍🏾

I believe all the moisture was affecting OMP's ball striking today. The ball didn't quite have his normal fade. What a great drill for Liam, I need to practice that, my miss is the occasional weak right shot.

Great tip Liam. I've said before I'd just love you to be brave like your now starting to be with your driver and push those iron shots out to the right. I'll guarantee straight divots and straight shots and even a draw.

@@golfmates5222 Good drill is put a tee in front of the ball like you had the 2 tees but slightly to the right. Try hitting the ball and the tee.
