I think the size and quality of squad will pay dividends in Jan and Feb when clubs with smaller clubs will be getting injuries and players getting tired due to the number of games and the conditions. Blues should have the ability to get through this period much better than the teams around us.

100% I feel sorry for the lad. He may not be defensively great but he’s there to cause havoc with speed which he generally does. We should have a strong enough midfield and defence to compensate for the young lad as he matures. He is a good threat going forward that we do not utilise enough.

I think blues have now figured out how to beat these lower teams now after the banana skin at Shrewsbury and Northampton. second half at Crawley Davies managed to get paik on the ball in the middle and we played better then. credit to davies for finding a way to win. Good morning. Happy Boxing Day 🥊 😁 I can't wait for today's game. The atmosphere is going to be absolutely buzzing in and around the ground before the game and i think we'll get an early goal and be relentless today, i just have a feeling. The atmosphere is going to be unbelievable. I think we just go for it today. It will be interesting to see how we set up and who plays. Bielik will move to centre half to play alongside Davies and that means either Gardner-Hickman or Laird in at right back. I think Laird did well when he came on at left back against Crawley so i wouldn't be surprised to see him giving the nod at right back, but i really like Gardner-Hickman. Leonard has got to start!!!! I would play him at 10 with Willumsson on the bench or Iwata or Paik need to be rotated. I would much rather see Yokoyama on the bench over Hansson. It will be interesting to see if Sanderson is in the squad?? If he's not in the squad he's definitely off! Buchanan can play at centre half if needs be but he's still working his way back from injury. So his minutes at left back are still being managed. I don't mind if Dykes start. I would prefer to start with May. Anderson and Stansfield are the attacking players most in form. But like you rightly say we have a proper squad and we need to see more rotation, especially with the games coming thick and fast. Blues to win 2, 3 or 4 nil. Interesting stat for me is that we're the divisions second best home team (to Wrexham) and also second best away team (to Wycombe) - point being that we are consistent and are successfully adapting our tactics Personally I think we are improving each match but really need to put teams away early and then keep our foot down, impose ourselves and crush them Hopefully today's game will be the start of that KRO lads, happy anniversary for this podcast !!

Hi both. I liked the comment " Davies has loyalty to Laird and Harris" . A good point. I much prefer TGH and Leonard, every time. Definitely, i agree playing Dykes. I know i go against the majority, but he will always have a more dangerous impact than May. Both of them are, at present not scoring goals, so Dykes to start most times. Good research as always about the opposition.. in reality, without Jay, we are living dangerously, because most games are won by a single goal. Very true we need more squad rotation or we will lose players. So past few games Williuson looks tired and I think these scrappy games don’t suit him…. I have been shot down for this opinion but I feel like you say certain players suit certain types of play…. So today would go… Leonard in for Williumson TGH for the back line in the left or right to fill missing Klarer Juke up front I personally feel as much as I love May and he is a work horse sometimes we need a bit of height in that box .. not sure how tall Stanno is … doesn’t look that tall So that’s the changes I’d make today Dykes missed that easy tap in so he is on my bad books right now I also think Laird is great going forward but defending not so good Anderson all day every day for me he is in FIRE! 🔥 Anyway on route to game hopefully get to say hello! I can't see the point of us assembling a squad far above the quality of everyone else's first team and then not utilizing the players we have. It must be driving the likes of Leonard round the twist, a player who would be the standout player in any other League 1 team not getting a look in, and that is no criticism of the other players, but everyone needs a rest at times.
We think Leonard could arguably get into most championship teams but it shows the strength of our current squad. It’s crazy! I totally agree that we need slightly more rotation when he have fixture congestion or 3 games in 1 week. KRO! :)
