But besides that yea they did have a bunch of wants & i just straight up told them my channel i do it how i wanna do it noone controls me ill never comply with remote i.d. so why would i do anything else that i don't agree with, ill just end up giving these motors away in a contest or something

    Those fluo green ones look so mean. I'll have to get em. Running the tmotor 2203.5 on my AOS LR5 at the moment, I easily get 10+ minutes of flight time running 650mah 6s, these motors seem to be double the size for the stator. Any guess if my LR5 flighttimes would increase or decrease with these? I'm doing light cruising at less than half throttle most of the time.

    Greetings, I like the content of your videos and among your videos I am looking for help to know why when I accelerate the motor it works normally but when I lower the revolutions to zero the motor begins to accelerate on its own to the point that I have to disarm the drone because it does not respond. It is my first drone, maybe I configured something in BF incorrectly but I don't know what, although I use an elrs 500 preset from BF. Betafpv elrs superD receiver, FC mamba h743, betafpv 1w module, radiomaster tx16s. Battery 4s. What can I do so that the motors do not accelerate only when I remove the acceleration in the control????

  • @JohnCuppi
    @JohnCuppi Рік тому +5

    Mepsking wanted me to review their motors - but their “contract” was sketchy and they wasted my time, so I blasted them on my community tab…
    In their contract terms they requested:
    - That I provide “unlisted videos and pictures before release” of the review.
    - And, an agreement that “Mepsking would own the rights to use the video that I made AND post it first before I do, if necessary.”
    Yes you read the quoted part correctly. 😡
    These slimy conditions were deal breakers for me and I’ve been turned off off their product line. I have no idea if they have changed their ways as this was just a couple months ago.
    It’s good to see someone actually test these motors to see what they’re capable of, so thanks for doing this.

    meps kings and rcinpower motors are good, but also hard to get in europe anyway. both companies are not able to even set up a useful homepage and links to thrust charts with more than 1 prop. :-) ?? have to ask myself, if i break one, how much does it cost to get a replacement. how long do i have to wait and how long are there parts available. these are the reasons i use t-motor and xnova. t-motor has parts for years and xnova is my new brand i test now. some heli pilots use them in competition. in the quad scene they are not so common, maybe not main target. i know, affiliate has to be there, but some day maybe one pilot will make a test with a xnova motor. bought a T2204, which is one of thr lightest in its class. 20gr for the lr 5. should be not too much.

    How are you measuring the watts of mechanical power produced for your efficiency calculation? Most motor test data gives efficiency as thrust (g) / electrical-power (W). This seems like a more intuitive and useful measure of efficiency because thrust and power consumed are two values we practically care about, even if the units don't match. Regardless, can you throw the Rcinpower Smoox 2306 motors on the test stand? Their motor test data shows efficiency that is off the charts compared to other motors.
    edit: I saw you had the Smoox 2306 included in the best 5" motor video, and their efficiency tested right at average. Could you try reproducing their motor test data and see how far off your results are? The data they show is 50-75% higher than equivalent motors.

    • @ChrisRosser
      @ChrisRosser  Рік тому +1

      Mechanical power is measured by multiplying measured torque by rpm (in rad/s). Electrical power is measured by multiplying RMS voltage and RMS current. Divide one by the other and you get motor efficiency. g/W is a good measure of efficiency but is very prop specific. Motor efficiency is prop independent.

    • @theroburrito
      @theroburrito Рік тому

      @@ChrisRosser So was the mechanical power measured with the flywheel?

    • @ChrisRosser
      @ChrisRosser  Рік тому

      @@theroburrito It's measured using the propeller. By reporting mechanical/electrical power rather than thrust/electrical power you can separate the motor and propeller efficiency. Motor efficiency is mech watts / electrical watts and propller efficiency is then grams of thrust per watt of mech. power. Total efficiency is motor eff. * prop eff. giving grams of thrust per watt of electrical power. I'll cover this in my next video which is planned to be a heap of 3" prop testing.
