Stop judging people by their state considering the fact that most states has many other indigenous tribes. There are Igbo indigenous people in Kogi State.
Atta is the 2nd son of Eri who migrated to Igala area with other Igbo brothers and relatives. Some of them and their descendants decided to go back to the East when they were reminded who they were. There are so many of them spread out in the Eastern Nigeria especially in the old Anambra state. This is the same way Oba, the 3rd son of Eri migrated to Edo with other Igbos and their relatives. Many later migrated back to the East when the Edos started attacking them. Majority of those returnees are the Ikwerres who were joined by migrants from Nkwere.
I agree with you. Google Esan, Afamai and Ogbona people in Edo. You will notice they resemble Igbo people and their tradition mirrors Igbo as well even though their language differ. These are the real Edo people and owner of that throne before Yoruba blood invaded and conquered them. That's why the Esan, Afamai and Ogbona resemble Igbo while the rest resemble Yorubas.

Igala is mixture of different tribe, but the southern part of igala which include idah was Igbo land before jukun and wukuris invaded the land and those who ran back to Igbo main land today, some igala jukun igala expansionist are saying they are igala, the same tin that’s playing with out ika, some ikwerre etc. Igbos are oldest tribe in Africa but there ancestors are not expansionist because of the kind of republican nature, apart of from the conquered Igbo communities in igala today, the Igbo speaking community today is more than two LGA.. My question: can the branch of a tree be larger than the tree itself. It can't. Ndigbo is the tree and the trunk. If Igala and Ndigbo are related, then Igala is the son and Igbo is the father. It is not arguable. But the truth is that there are other tribes that settled in Anambra State. Today they are regarded as Ndigbo. There are few areas of Anambra State that are related with Igala not Ndigbo in general. Please history should not be distorted. Igbo is a large tribe and have many branches. Anambra State alone is not Igbo but they are part of Igbo tribe. I am pained that people have twisted the history of Ndigbo. We will get to that when time comes. It is not arguable that some Anambra towns are not originally Igbo. I won't be surprised the areas that have connection with Igala are Igala just like Onitsha is Benin.
I am Igala. I am sure, of it. Even, before MNK started saying it years ago I already had my suspicions. And should, a DNA test is conducted today I am perfectly sure it will be as I have been saying it is.
Why do you people keep doing this? Many ethnic groups you say that they are Igbos do not want to be identified as Igbos. Even though there are some semblance in language, they continue to say that they are not Igbos. They find it very offensive that you say that they are Igbos. Why can't you just let them be? If they say that they are not Igbos then they are not. Whether their language is Igbo or not. We are enough as Igbos, why do you need others who deny that they are not Igbos. This case tire mee ooo😮
The people you refer to are 100% igbo people who denied their igbo origin in other to escape persecution from the Nigerian state. Many western igbos denied their igboness after the Asaba massacre during the Biafran war and some even changed their names. Today igbo identity is offensive to them because it reminds them persecution and massacre. Remember chukwuma Nzeogwu and Emmanuel ifeajuna who led the Jan 1966 coup both belong to this Anioma people and yet their coup was labeled igbo coup by the Nigerian government. During the 2023 election, okowa affirmed his igboness and recently Ned nwoko also affirmed his igboness. These people cannot deny their igboness when convenient and accept their igboness when inconvenient. The primary determinant of ethnicity is language and culture and these people speak igbo language and practice igbo culture and there igbos NO matter how they are brainwashed to deny their igboness
