yeah that's right. As a man with high testosterone but with insufficient financial means, it's ALWAYS possible to control yourself. Fasting regularly, lowering my gaze and having huge taqwa in Allah Swt have helped me curbed my lusts and desires alhamdullilah.

Somehow this calms me and let’s me and I’m now even more willing to continue my way this way. I was raised by a violent father and according to actual data, children who were treated harshly they will treat their children also harsh. So stopping this cycle of violence across the generations I think it’s better to stop it at my point. Not getting married and having children will be sad but otherwise a greater good is achieved and I didn’t commit anything bad regarding my religion. You can always go to therapy and read a lot of self-help books. Work on yourself since you seem to feel sad about not getting to. Hard work and dua will get you any and everywhere. Just my two cents. You can always work on healing and being more conscious of abuse bc you experienced it would make you try harder not to have your kids go through the same. thus you would break the cycle. The mere fact of you acknowledging and working on it and then getting married when you're ready, I feel like you'd probably be a good parent, better than most nowadays tbh.

I'm female 46 and still single. I'm still living at home at my mother's house, looking after my 75yo schizophrenic mother whom can't walk, and my 56yo brother as well as their Carer. I never leave the house, except for 2 hours once a month to get my mother's prescription meds. I am their Full-Carer and my health is bad too. I can't walk properly myself, my health is getting worse. So how can I ever meet any one to get married? I haven't had a job since 2005. I'm on the Carer Pension and Carer Allowance.

You are very beautiful inside and out. I’ll recommend hiring two carers to take care of your brother and mother for 5 days a week. 2 days you should try work part time 20 hours a week. Then the other 3 days you can spend time by yourself. It may be hard at first but I pray Allah makes it easier for you. Doing this may give you balance but just think about it and pray for it. It is time we talk about the mental health because most muslims have took the literal and generalized meaning of 'istataat' they think if their temptation is high and they have sufficient income they are eligible for marriage, totally disregarding the mental istataat. I have this case in my own house, my father was eligible according to society, sufficient income and everything but he was mentally sick. He has narcissistic personality disorder and he made the life of my mum and even our's hell. And due to his sick behavior my mother became a patient of severe depression which lead her to her early demise. Not one of the four children are stable in our life even my elder brother has also become narcissist along with being anti social, he even depends upon our father financially despite being of 40 years. He is a divorcee. Wants to get married for second time but i am strictly against it; and i am the bad person here who do not want her brother to get married.

Marriage is really expensive and mentally draining these days. Women are difficult. Life is very expensive. Kids are horrible. Problem is marriage is more than to avoid Zina. Marriage aint easy just saying unfortunately in this arab community they say get married like buying a lollipop from a corner shop.. i have 2 young kids alhumdulliah but they warn you out the raising of these kids is difficult and the only survival is Islam you need deen 24/7 every minute of your life to survive this life. Marriage aint easy just saying unfortunately in this arab community they say get married like buying a lollipop from a corner shop.. i have 2 young kids alhumdulliah but they warn you out the raising of these kids is difficult and the only survival is Islam you need deen 24/7 every minute of your life to survive this life. Calamities are every day as stated in the quran. Some people just throw marriage around casually without knowing what you getting into.

Somehow it doesn't make sense for me. It's sunna for those who can control their desires and obligatory for those who is affraid of committing zina. In that case it's for almost everyone obligatory to get married. Because almost everyone human has desires and the only way the control this is fasting the whole life or the person is asexual. No one will fast whole life and most people in the world are not asexual so how can a human control this if it's a natural desire? I mean gave Allah this desire to control this a whole life? Like i said it doesn't make sense and I'm a little bit confused about marriage and sexuality in islam.

The truth is, most of the young muslim generations are busy in haram relationships and i swear i've seen them having sex especially on the festival of Eids. Thousands of children are born out of wedlocks. This is the truth, meanwhile i turned 38 two weeks ago and still unmarried i live alone with my parents long gone but i'm thankful to allah for this because despite being old, i move like lightning, i can parkour, i can run fast, i do MMA sparring in my gym and i'm faster than most young guys in their teens and twenties. I count "not getting married" as a blessing from allah, because my friends who are married and have children move and look like around 60 despite being in their late 30's

Bad husband would giving her bad time rising a good kid also, and father was the epitome of rule in the house, his absence means the absence of rule, creating deviant children
