Yes, quality of interior has gone down since 8V era. Apparently Audi purposefully did this to increase the gap between S and RS models because in 8V models the gap was too close 🤷♂️
@@teejay6320 this has nothing to do with the gap between the S and RS models, the RS has the exact same interior materials with a few tiny visual differences. This is simply Audi's cost cutting at work, just like we saw in the new A5. They claim quality goes up but there's now fabric on the dash lmao. False marketing at its finest.

You cant even tell its an S3 looking at it from the front. Could be an 115hp 3 cylinder with an S-Line package.. Concidering this costs close to 70k€ its kinda lame. The piano black plastic on the inside is a whole other topic, middle console looks so cheap.

I didn't really dislike the ultrawide fisheye look, but this FOV is considerably more natural. If it's harder to plan framing around while driving though it may not be worth it.
Have to say the Audi's interior in particular works for me a lot better than the equivalent efforts from the latest Mercedes & BMWs. A more successful balance between modern & traditional
