Hi, that is a lot of work of course for an older machine at this point. I wonder what the correct temperature for the bus and CPU would be. I am reading 60 C at an ambient room temp of 24 C. The fan seems to on much of the time with intervals of faster speed operation. PErhaps if I was to open the case I could upgrade the CPU at the same time :-) BTW did you decide specifically not to use thermocouple paste for the heat pipe ? Thanks
PLEASE CARE for the Thermal paste! You need new one when you do this! Otherwise your Notebook will overheat and die This worked well for me! and I do this roughly every 6 Month now. Thank you!

its gonna get dirty, you would think a company would make it easy to clean the fan, but no, literally have to take the whole fucking thing apart :(
the tape that covers the heatsink is it somthing special?

Бензин "Калоша" (Нефрас) если она уже твердая , если нет то и обычный спирт подойдет медицинский, изопропиловый.
