You mentioned that for the picking needed the Key of D won't work and that you do it in the key of A. Since the Merlin is tuned for the Key of D do you tune it differently than DAD? Great video!
sskuder Hi No I am still tuned to DAD but the original song is done in D but because of the picking needed we have to play it in the Key of A. Which if you are playing on your own it is OK but if playing with a guitar they would need capo up to match you.

Totally agree. Been trying out mandolin style plating at the jams with it and it works really well.
