I don’t listen to a lot of Christmas music. Last year I heard this song on the radio at work but it was faint and I couldn’t hear the words…but as a musician the chorus melody has rung through my head over the course of the last year. I love it. Finally I walked into a quiet store yesterday and this song was on and I was able to Google “candy cane lane”. Phew…full circle. Part of me is complete now.
Today, two days before Christmas, I was at the mall with my son and in the department store this song was playing. It was so catchy and I looked up the lyrics and found the singer. Now I've probably listened to it half a dozen times! Can't believe I'd never heard it before.
I actually swung on a lamp fan as a 3 year old. And always for 30 years had the thought of swinging on a chandelier and trees (did three swinging at age 14) it is ver fun. I remember turning the speed to medium before I asked by step brother to tie me to the new fan chandelier. Like a park ride.
This is just so cute. Though being an indian and not associated much with christmas.. I still come here to listen to Sia. She saved my life and made me love it. I don't know how people dislike such art. Well.. Happier to see there are more people appreciating such special talent... I love these Christmas tracks and ballads. Lots of love Sia..
