I watched her win idol and she was my first favorite musician and I have sang all her songs my whole life and her voice is out of this world! But Ariana is pretty damn talented too. The song is fun and within the classic Christmas spirit but what makes this performance so magnetic is how much fun is everyone having playing it. The director was excellent capturing all the musicians, the charismatic choir trio and of course, the phenomenal Kelly and Ariana collaboration. This is a completely gorgeous, fun and incredible performance where all the parts work perfectly. This should be a viral song/video. Merry Christmas everyone!

they are both so incredibly talented, i don't doubt their abilities. It's just that some parts of the song are giving pre-recorded. They are so incredibly talented to even record such a brilliant audio, however, this appears to be very doctored.

Their voices meld so nicely. It's not a competition between who can out sing who, idk why it has to go that route. Ariana was enjoying singing with another person because that's what she likes. You can tell from her other performances. She prob grew up listening to Kelly. I just wish there were more songs they had together.

@@dari1741 Just because something isn't the original doesn't mean it was live. I used to do that all the time when I was performing. I would use one recording for whatever was being published and then another recording to present as "live" if I couldn't hit my notes for whatever reason. The "live" recording wasn't perfect and it was different enough to not sound like the original. Iirc Ariana was caught doing this before for segments with high runs, but I'm not 100% confident in that assertion. I guess the whole thing comes down to what is defined as "live". For me live is unedited, but by the phrase's definition singing live can have autotune, and so I would concede that this could well be live because of how advanced live audio production is. It wasn't unedited live though.

It’s kinda discrediting then to say “natural talent” because they’ve put a lot of work into training their voices. The things they can do so effortlessly isn’t because they were born able to, they spent years doing exercises and building up their voices.
@@othebomb1980 Honing a skill doesn't take away from what they have naturally. Their voices sound how they sound. The fact that they have trained to use and (hopefully) preserve their voices doesn't diminish anything. You can train most anyone to sing but not everyone has a voice that sounds good doing it.
Ari's voice is so soothing and heavenly while Kelly's strong and high. They definitely complemented each other in this collab. All I did was kept on smiling while watching them. 🥰🥰🥰

they are both so incredibly talented, i don't doubt their abilities. It's just that some parts of the song are giving pre-recorded. They are so incredibly talented to even record such a brilliant audio, however, this appears to be very doctored.
This is probably one of my favourite live performances of all time. The joy, the harmonization, chemistry and just the raw talent between Kelly and Ariana is absolutely amazing!

I want to blame it on her protecting her voice, but I can't be sure.

You can tell from her other performances. She prob grew up listening to Kelly. I just wish there were more songs they had together.

@@dari1741 Just because something isn't the original doesn't mean it was live. I used to do that all the time when I was performing. I would use one recording for whatever was being published and then another recording to present as "live" if I couldn't hit my notes for whatever reason. The "live" recording wasn't perfect and it was different enough to not sound like the original. Iirc Ariana was caught doing this before for segments with high runs, but I'm not 100% confident in that assertion.
I guess the whole thing comes down to what is defined as "live". For me live is unedited, but by the phrase's definition singing live can have autotune, and so I would concede that this could well be live because of how advanced live audio production is. It wasn't unedited live though.

It’s kinda discrediting then to say “natural talent” because they’ve put a lot of work into training their voices. The things they can do so effortlessly isn’t because they were born able to, they spent years doing exercises and building up their voices.
@@othebomb1980 Honing a skill doesn't take away from what they have naturally. Their voices sound how they sound. The fact that they have trained to use and (hopefully) preserve their voices doesn't diminish anything. You can train most anyone to sing but not everyone has a voice that sounds good doing it.

Ari's voice is so soothing and heavenly while Kelly's strong and high. They definitely complemented each other in this collab. All I did was kept on smiling while watching them. 🥰🥰🥰
