Exploring Vardø: Visiting a WW II Bunker & Memorial Drakkar Leviathan in an Arctic Storm

Join me on a journey through history as we venture into a well-preserved German bunker from the Second World War, located in the beautiful landscape of Vardø in East Finnmark.
Despite facing stormy conditions with winds reaching up to 70 km/h, we discover the secrets of the bunker and the memorial Drakkar Leviathan. The memorial was built in 2016 by a group of artists and is a mix of a Viking boat, a dinosaur, and a whale. Drakkar Leviathan tells a story about the sea, people migrations, myths, ships, historical events, wood, and whales. It is an anthem to the Arctic, humanity, and nature.
