I don’t know how you fit in all you do and work full time, hats off to you! It takes so long for me to trace a pattern and then cut the fabric, that’s half a day before I start!! Maybe I’ll get quicker in time!!! Looking forward to Friday 🐾🐾
Sewing isn’t a race,I used to feel like a failure when I couldn’t sew as quickly as others, the more experienced you become the quicker you will become. Enjoy your leisurely sewing time.
Lovely catch up! I had to watch in 2 parts as needed to dry my hair. 😆Your hair looks lovely today. Blue is certainly your colour- mine too. Thank you 😊
Great plans Rachel. I love the seersucker fabrics and they are much more ironing friendly! I just haven’t seen any for a long time as great for children’s dress sewing. I can’t have been looking in the right places😆
Wow - 60s style trousers in that beautiful multi coloured fabric are going to look fantastic, cannot wait to see these made up, however agree you do need some plain items as well. ❤❤❤
I can see the white top with the lighter blue linen pants… 🤩. Makes me think of a walk along the beach, comfy and casual. Enjoy your sewing time and holidays.
Good morning Rachel from the US! I just made the Pomona pattern as a pair of shorts. Personally, I can't see using stiffer, heavier weight fabrics. I'm not a big fan of overly gathered waist bands, which this kind of can be. I sized down in the waist but then made the elastic my normal waist size. This worked really well, and gives a very comfy, less gathered waist. I also used a lightweight chambray fabric which worked brilliantly. It is a super fun pattern and comes together in a snap! Your blue linen fabric reminded me of an old pair of pants I have (no longer fit). They are tapered too but then have an adorable little ruffle on the hem of the legs. It's such a small detail but makes a big impact to an otherwise "boring" fabric. Just a thought!
Lovely seeing your makes and plans! My Thea’s are just about there! Having to just do a bit of the fiddly things in small bursts as I feel my head is about to implode 😂 I’m alright and at least they aren’t confined to the naughty corner of doom … yet! 😂
Oh Rachel , Barbados is lovely you will have a fab time. I spent 2 days there on a Caribbean cruise and loved every bit of it 😊 and oh my gosh, those thea trousers paired with a lime green or orange top would look so cool 😎
Cute dress patterns for you vacation. It will be fun to see them made up in those lovely seersucker ginghams. I don't know why you think plain colors are boring. I think pairing separates can be so impactful and interesting. Look forward to Friday and seeing all your plans sewn up.
OMG the almost-destashed fabric is amazing! I'd go with a lime green shirt... everyone will see you coming and know immediately that you are a confident woman with great style. Has no one warned Bronte about the consequences which follow getting rid of your maternity clothes?!
Lovely plans as always Rachel. Have you thought about the Ogden cami for light summer tops? I live in warmer climes and ive just made two Genoa (style arc)skirts one linen and one recycled indian cotton tablecloth! And then paired the linen with a linen Byron (style arc)top and the indian cotton with indian cotton Tavi (tessuti) top. Im loving these sets so cool to wear 😊❤
I like to see the basic, boring makes. These are the things that work the hardest in my wardrobe, so please don't worry about them not being interesting.
The M7969 is lovely, too bad it doesn't fit anyone. I would like to make this dress, but have read mixed reviews. Does the pattern run true to size and how does the bodice cross over fit. Thank you🙂
I use the Pomona Pant as my template for all pants. Have made maybe 30-40 pair! I use rayon challis or ITY knit or 70%rayon/30% linen. All turn out wonderfully. I make the tapered leg because the wide leg is HUGE throughout the body and looks sloppy to me. I hope this helps. Karen from California

That blue linnen will be fabuleus = as if it wore jeans! Nothing boring about.I love plain fabrics. They respect better the design of a pattern!
You are going to love the Barbados. Something wonderful to look forward to.

Those psychedelic Thea’s are going to be amazing 🧶🌈🍓💙
I made pomona pants in viscose linen which was ok
Oooh. I’m planning to go to Barbados at the end of nov!
Oooo Barbados 🤩😍 how fantastic xxx
Lots of plans! I don’t see the Anna Allen Pomona or Thea pants links?
Sorry I did find the Thea but not the Pomona.
Did I not include it? Apologies I’ll go in and add it
@@StitchedUp thank you so much!
Do you do your gathering on your overlocker? I tried it for the Westcliff dress and it worked really well.

Really helpful thank you!
Lighter weight linen should be even better!!!
I was meaning to ask … where did you get your fabric ? It’s beautiful:)
Sound?
It’s working fine for me? Try refreshing?
