Yes, hiking in the Carpathians offers some stunning views! We did another hike this past summer up a mountain that was just slightly shorter than Hoverla. Still over 2000meters. It was much more difficult, but I thought the views were even better!
It definitely was in the beginning! Overall, not a hard hike, but I did feel the steepness up there at the top. Beautiful views made it totally worth it, though! :)
Oh great! Should be nice around this time. We saw one or two tents on our way up -- wild camping is totally fine in Ukraine. Not many water sources, though, if I remember correctly. Hope you enjoy your trip!
Hello. I am planning on doing this hike in a few days. Did you communicate to the same taxi to take you back to town after the hike? If not how did you make it back to town?
Hi! We communicated with our guesthouse host back in Verkhovyna, who had arranged our car out there. We had enough service that we could text back and forth with her, at least further down the mountain where we camped, and she arranged a car to take us back to Verkhovyna. It was a guy who had dropped some tourists off in the morning, so it was on the early side, but you tend to be up early when you're camping anyway. Enjoy the hike!
Have you hiked Hoverla? Would you make it part of your Ukraine trip itinerary?
New bucket list item.
It's a nice hike; I hope you get to do it soon!
View nice other good size mountains in the background. Good hike.

Beautiful place!
The Carpathians are really lovely! I hope to go back again this summer a bit as well. Maybe climb a new mountain!
@@moonshineandminibuses9051 Well... Talk about timing.
looks like a relaxing hike

beautiful
It was a gorgeous hike! I'm thinking of going back to the area this summer for a few more hikes.
Thanks for the video! I am planning to go with a friend in about a week. Do you know if there camp sites there?
