i was at the cycle game and the fans were going absolutely crazy chanting elly then when votto hit his 2 homeruns everyone was chanting joey, craziest game i've been too
After three weeks of seeing him perform, I am still in disbelief because witnessing this man's talents is like witnessing something from another planet.

Reds have the best announcer in the game. And he has Barry Larkin by his side during most home games. Sick combo.

Well, the Phillies got a pretty good one, and I'll always say Bob Ueker of the Brewers is one of the GOATs. Best is a bit of a stretch for the Reds' guy.
Went to his debut vs the Dodgers. You could feel it in the air. The hope, energy, and excitement he brings makes you not want to miss a second. It’s contagious to his teammates and to the fans. The reds are so young and talented that it’s almost like they don’t know any better. They go out every night and bring max effort like it’s their last. Votto is the perfect vet for them too. If the young pitchers stay healthy and figure it out this is a team you don’t wanna play in the playoffs.
No doubt. They can absolutely MASH the baseball 🔥. Two lockdown starters, and Ashcraft gets back to form, phew 😮💨. Scary times in Cincy (cards fan btw)
Cruz is a great prospect with tons of potential but he’s no Elly De La Cruz. This kids legit, he’s Tatis but a switch hitter. Might be the best switch hitter we’ve seen since Chipper or Beltran, Votto himself compared him to Mantle.
I been a loyal Reds fan my entire life. Elly has brought much needed energy to our once great franchise. So happy.

I tell yah what it's good to be a sports fan here right now. My dad was from Canada and became Reds and Bengals Fan and he raised me to be one to. And before he died he got to see the Bengals Beat the Chiefs to get into the super bowl.

Texas loving Elly De Cocoa so much I started an mlb tv subscription just to watch the Reds-Braves series last weekend. Not disappointed.
I was born in 1979 I’ve been a Braves and reds fan all life, and a baseball fan my entire life, I’ve seen guys like Vlad, Junior, ARod, etc etc. and I think Elly is just as good. I mean the guy went from home to 3rd in like 10.8 seconds….like what the hell he isn’t human🤣.
Rob Manfred needs to take these young stars and market them, get people excited again about baseball, it could easily overtake the NBA, and be right behind football.

If the NBA did the same thing, make the All Star game east vs west and whoever wins gets home court for the finals and its just a regular game, almost all the problems with the game would be fixed

8:20 I'm an uber driver in Cincinnati and I have to say about that: The braves had nothing to do with it. I was stuck in stadium traffic driving that weekend and I saw mayber two braves jerseys. Saw more yankees and red sox jerseys than I did Braves jerseys. People turned up in force to see these young reds play. A lot of reds fans hate ownership and refuse to go watch the bullshit minor league teams they put out there every year, but this time the kids are alright and when the reds are winning they're the biggest draw in town .

MLB needs a skill competition. HR derby is cool and all but why not finish the night off with that and start the 2 day all-star event with some top talents timing their run around the bases, or dot a ball from the deepest part of the outfield to Homeplate or even have pitchers hit targets in the zone the quickest

de la cruz has been playing in the outfield too so hes been uber flexible as an all around player. needs to keep the K rate down but hes hitting like no other

Put him in the Home Run Derby. However, the ASG I believe is a bit of a stretch. People were saying the same thing about Yasiel Puig in 2013 and like Elly, he hadn't even played a month. I like the kid, but if it takes a spot from someone who's been up most of the year, I'm not so sure about that
