    Great overall video. But to be fair you’re fishing in a navigation channel with heavy boat traffic. I’d reel my rig in each time one comes by. There’s nothing good about fishing line in a prop

      You have a point. This place is pretty notorious for wreckless boating in general, just an overall bad situation. I was either faced to burn my line in which probably wouldn't have made it or roll the dice and hope my line sank in time. Just the nature of the beast. Thanks for watching man

    fished the pier at Manistee and caught several. The boaters had the whole inlet and ran right down the pier, once when I had a fish on. A local shined a light in their eyes and told them to go around. LIke the shot of the big dipper in 11:06 great video. Thanks for posting. Heading up in couple of weeks to river fish.

    Which pier are you fishing at?

      Looks like Frankfort to me. I would try the north pier to stay out of the way of returning boats.

    Sorry but you are fishing a navigation channel. As a boat owner ,I can tell you it's hard enough coming in at night, it's red on your right returning, you are on the bad side for fishing. Maybe time your casts better.

    • @Chiefz
      @Chiefz  11 місяців тому

      Yeah I can definitely understand that. You have a point on returning boats that I didn’t think of. Lesson learned! Not the end of the world, just unfortunate when it happened haha. Thanks for watching

      hey while you are here. I just got into salmon fishing, I live near milwaukee so i fish on lake michigan. Do you have any specific spoons and spinners you'd recomend to use? I was very surpised to see how different salmon and trout lures are compared to your normal bass and pike lures. Any recomendations would be great. @@Chiefz
