I have only commented now but I have been following you for months now. I am surprised you haven't reached higher numbers in terms of subscription. I get to watch many other famous perfume vloggers, but you are the most knowledgeable of them all. You deserve more recognition from the perfume aficionados. May i take this opportunity to ask - Have you heard of the In Astra fragrances: Antares, Betelgeuse, Mismar and Tistar? I would be grateful if you can kindly do a review of the house soon. Also, I have not seen any extensive review of the Bulgari Allegra line. I would appreciate it very much if you can also please put it in the queue as well. Thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge. We, your fans, appreciate you and your generosity. All the best!
L'Orpheline was my signature scent for a time when it was first released. It had a wistful melancholy about it that i found almost painfully beautiful.. maybe I need to revisit her.
Great video as always! I just picked up a 50ml backup bottle of L'orpheline for 40 dollars off of someone on a facebook group, a steal!. I love the vibe of this fragrance, and it suits my personality. I agree with you that its not a fragrance one would think it sells well because its the type to connect only with a certain niche of people. Admitedly it has a bit of a monotone scent profile, but i still like it very much and with 150ml of juice it will last me a lifetime because its a fragrance you wear every once in a while when the mood calls for it. As far as presentation, i personally wish Serge Lutens would have kept the old aesthetic and stickers. It just went so well with the sentimental aspects his fragrances mostly carry, they made the bottles look more vintage and classy.
Thank you for your video. I happened to be in Paris when L’Orpheline was launched and so I do associate it with my visit to the Lutens Shop at the Palais Royal. I like this perfume and find this scent to be introspective and comforting but ended up giving it to my husband as I found it suited him better than it did me (Féminité du Bois for me). He still wears L’Orpheline today.
I had no idea L’orpheline was a top selling SL perfume. I wear it often and am happy to buy this anniversary release! I don’t find it tender or quiet. It’s a very active perfume to me… like a dance… or Buddhist prostrations… Wow… I’m trying to imagine it as tender. Will wear it today …
Hi Persolaise, may I please ask if you would might have an tip for a perfume similar to L‘orpheline but with less Barbershop/Fougère aspects to it? I find that L‘eau d‘hiver comes from the same family but would you maybe have another idea? :)
I have moved away from Serge Lutens as I prefer the more eccentric, experimental, and bold direction the brand used to have. Still love the esthetic of the special edition bottles.
Hey Persolaise and everyone! Help me out with an advice please. I just noticed that my L'Orpheline bottle is slightly chipped where the atomiser screws in. The chip is large enough so the fragrance leaks if i hold it upside down. Do you think the fragrance will evaporate or spoil if i keep it this way or should i transfer the liquid into another recipient. I'd love to keep the presentation as it is but if the perfume suffers because of it then i will just decant it :( Thank you in advance!
My favourite 1-star Luca Turin fragrance ❤🩹 It's mostly gooey musk and brittle incense to me, but occasionally there's *something* floral and green. I just love how it marries juxtaposed ideas, both warm/cold as well as dusty/gooey.
This is undoubtedly a fragrance all the goths would have worn had this existed in the 80's.
But my god, am I ever in love with this scent.
It does seem to inspire extreme reactions.
I love this perfume in very cold, snowy weather, it goes perfectly with gloomy snowy aura. Hi from Poland!!! 🙂
Yes, I agree it works well in the cold.

This is such a kind comment -- thank you so much.
No, sorry, I don't know the Astra brand.
A fantastic fragrance from a house that's well worth exploring.
I agree. Thanks for watching.
Love to hear your current faves from Serge Lutens. A rather special house, IMO.
A good idea - thanks for watching.
A la nuit and Féminité du bois are still my fave ST's. I don't recall having smelled this one; now I have to, you have piqued my curiosity! Thank you.
It's very different from your two favourites.
Thanks for watching.
Es hechizante
This perfume is lovely: unisex and understated. I adore it.
Wonderful. Thanks for watching.
L'Orpheline was my signature scent for a time when it was first released. It had a wistful melancholy about it that i found almost painfully beautiful.. maybe I need to revisit her.
Yes, wistful is another good word to describe it.

How wonderful. Thanks for sharing the story.
This is the first fragrance that gets me intoxicated.. it makes me feel as if i am floating.
Oh wow. Wonderful description.
Thanks for watching.
I get Crewella DeVille from the bottle.
Yes, there's a bit of Cruella there, for sure.
For me, Klaus Nomi.

Oh wow, that's interesting. I'll have to smell it in relation to your comments.

Perhaps someone reading this will be able to suggest something.
I adore L’Eau D’Hiver, by the way.

Yes, it's a striking graphic.

I would say that if you are able to decant to a more airtight container, then you should do so as soon as possible.
@@Persolaise Thank you for your wisdom!
Mon Serge Lutens preferé..
Good to know.
Thanks very much for watching.
