You can open it by removing the plastic screen. Then you have access to 4 screws and it pops off easily afterwards.

I think epoxy is really bad idea. Instead i would use hot glue. It holds usb port almost as good as epoxy and if you need to work on charging port again (or on closer components) you can easly remove it compare to epoxy.
