British coastal frigates look cool, too bad the grind is so immense or I’d go for them.
I really like the design of those british fregattes. The Leopard, Blackpool and Terra Nova are beautiful ships in my eyes

It's strange I've posted this comment twice once with links and once without yet both BOTH have disappeared strangely.
Ahh finally the long awaited Type 41 footage huzzah although it's sad state post 2.17.
You can see this in Gunships video of the Type 41 that's pre 2.17 (huh turns out you can't post links bugger), In that it shows the TANKY DM & seperate engine blocks.
Yeah the new repair mirrors the pre 2022 feb cost but lol it's 2 sl higher then the weaker Type 12.
But that ammunition costs is horrendous as a minute of firing is equal to 4800 sl yet the daring or battle it's but 80 sl which is annoying.
Yes the engines used to be separate but again 2.17 happened, Technically it's missing a forward bow section auxiliary diesel engine and the squid mortar as well.
There's a good detailed page from erenow The Frigate Programme that goes into detail on all cold war British frigates so that's a good read on these ship.
On another note it's annoying that that Sloop K2 can tank so much damage yet this frigate loses crew to autocannons and same goes for 30 year old destroyers the DM's are just daft.

this is the last ship i need to complete my british coastal tree till they add something else, i remember the blackpool and terra nova were not cheap at all to play as of the time of writing this comment my half spaded Blackpool is a tad under 17,500 SL to repair and my Terra nova with just parts and fpe is a tad over 15k

Protect that 76mmgun at all costs, be the one to launch the ambush and learn where your weak spots are for killing destroyers quickly with SAP.

Your videos are great. I am new to naval and and you helped me quite a bit. Is Frank Knox bettter than Blagorodneyy in terms of performance, silver lion farming and consistency?
Frank Knox has a better battle rating, but Blagorodny is a better ship all around.
It's really a personal preference.

Man those top tier Costal big boats / small ships are very disappointing.
I wouldn't mind if they were easy to unlock but here you have to research 380K RP not counting the other boats before also hard to unlock. All of this to have basically a reserve destroyer fire-power but with modern radar and computer.
So far the only top tier Costal that didn't disppoint me was the JDS Ayanami for Japan.

Any advice on what I should do when I get focused by the enemy team?
First step. Try to break line of sight with your enemy. That way it's harder for them to anticipate moves.
Rapidly changing speed can throw out rangefinder estimation and as a last resort turnaway from the fight and drop smoke.
One thing that helps is to not spawn in immediately. Especially in circle of death maps or maps where you're immediately in a fight. I usually wait until most players have spawned in. That way when you start the enemy is already shooting someone else, or bots.

That's the REPAIR cost haha.. adds up fast!
Cheap hah depends on the ship type but 30057 sl adds up quickly add in the Type 41 especially when the DM of this ship has been gutted since 2.17 to which autocannons eviscerate it in no time, This vessel prior to the economics change was practically the same cost as a Tiger class ntm no other "Frigate" type vessel was anywhere close to this ship with the closest being 25000 sl.
I've fielded this ship for around 300 matches if I hadn't have used backups for deaths I'd be negative to around -8M sl for this ship alone.
That cost is also on top of ammunition costs and a while back back when the DM wasn't total absolute arse I faught an action for 16 minutes before succumbing to damage and boi was that a scary sight -103756 sl as it was 30k for the repair & 72k for the ammunition expended along with ammunition from the STAAG mount.
With that combined this was the most expensive warship in game per battle (technically still is) & is followed by the Destroyer JDS Ayanami DD-103 with it's insane ammunition cost + repair.
Still yes from late war heavy cruisers up repairs are shagged but at least they make sense when fighting similar expensive adversaries.
