Sometimes I’ll be talking with my friend and she’ll asking me how I am and then follow it up with “yeah, but are you *okay*?” So now I’m realising I must give off a similar level of “unhinged-ness” on occasion

I've lived in my bedroom for 15 years and couldn't be happier. Now I have to be honest and I do use the bathroom and wash my clothes in the laundry room but I eat all my meals in the bedroom and haven't turned my stove on in probably 10 years. It's amazing how small your needs become when you're on your own and not having to do things to care for your family or for company. I have a great big yard for the dog and the rest of the time he hangs out in the bedroom with me. I only heat that one room in the winter and so on and so on. My bed is the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house and everything I need is right there it makes perfect sense, to me anyway. I tried going in the living room to watch TV one night and the dog just barked at me until I got up and went back into the bedroom so he's quite happy there as well. Took me a very long time to realize What mattered the most was my comfort. Well and my fur Buddies.

I am a 59 year old woman. Ever since I was about 6 I’ve been imagining how I would turn bathrooms into a tiny place to live. Whatever bathroom I’m in, I look around and imagine how I’d set it up if I had to live in there. Thanks for this - it was a delight.

p.s. i'm crying and my cheeks hurt real bad cause i couldn't stop laughing for the whole time you were in the bathroom...thank you so much! i needed to laugh out loud... i've also lived in some tiny spaces and slept in some weird ones... hmm the weirdest is i don't know what's weirdest out of: at a rodeo, or up front at a big show/concert with my head leaning on a speaker, or next to the goats at the petting zoo, or on a freight train (moving), or multiple different rooftops, or the floor of my mom's bathroom all the time when i was little, or the floor of my grandma's kitchen just a couple weeks ago, or in my grandma's walk-in bedroom closet the following night, or in a clawfoot tub that was in the middle of a forest somewhere, or on the sidewalk next to a busy street downtown(i was just very sleepy at the time not homeless...), or in an abandoned spice factory in northern italy, or on the edge of a fountain in the courtyard of a church? (p.s. the bathrooms seem the least weird of those places to me they just seem cozy...)
p.p.s. i have been homeless more than once before just not at the time when i fell asleep on the sidewalk... and that was sometime in the afternoon i think cause it was light out...

Garrett! I was just thinking about this the other day as a lover of tiny homes. You should get a large shed (they made some that look like homes) at any Home Depot/menards/Lowe's/ home improvement store and you can convert that into a tiny home.
