- It is our goal to move every precious mother and child off the streets of Skid Row and to the safety and serenity of Hope Gardens Family Center, where they can really get back on their feet.
Febe, a single mom of two, came to Union Rescue Mission when she had to leave her home due to family issues. She is one of the many moms that we have helped move to Hope Gardens, and she definitely won't be the last. It won't be easy. But we know with help from friends like you, we can make this dream a reality.

My heart and prayers go out to that beautiful girl and her beautiful babies... She is not stupid for trying to survive and trying to give her family a better life! She is young and learning life lessons, I doubt if this was ever in her life plan to run from shelter to shelter:( but thought out all the bullshit she is going through, my hat goes off to her! Atleast she's not one of those moms who gives up because she is struggling she could be doing drugs and not caring about her kids like most women do in these situations:( I hope u get in school and accomplish all your goals sweet heart and continue putting your kids first... God will not put nothing on you that you cannot handle always remember that;) continue being the strong single young mother that you are and everything will work out!:) ignore the haters cause God has a plan for you. You are a walking testimony!

Awesome program. Some people do so much good still in this hardened world. Others just sit and judge on something they know nothing about. It's not hard to show kindness but in the least stop being judgemental and mean.
These little kids l feel so bad for kids that have to go through this.

This is ideal...a beautiful environment but a tonne of loving support. Women like this need help....like a Mother's help...so having older women who are trained and professional to help these young Mothers is perfect. It's a safe place for young Mothers to recover after the trauma of homelessness and whatever else they've been through. Great playground, classes, a private room...perfect.
Bless this man. He's doing what I wish I could do. Unfortunately I've been part of different programs and most of them only cared about the donations and spent the money mostly on traveling and things they really didn't need. I was homeless as a child and it was never Because of drugs.

I do some private charity work with a friend. we go to known spots and feed the people in need unfortunately this last time security had called the police on us, before speaking to me and my friend. They treated us like criminals for helping others. I understand that there are people posing as homeless people to commute crimes and some ppl who are homeless do use drugs. It's very unfair to treat those in need as criminals. And to treat us like criminals for helping others humans in need and trying to deny food to any human being who is hungry is definitely a very horrible thing to do. I couldn't live with myself doing what they did.

If this rescue mission that's in California is helping homeless individuals with their homeless situation by giving each homeless family and single individuals a place and education , I would definitely would travel there since this east side of this country is not helping me at all. Please Californian Rescue mission , help me change my life . I'm homeless and no one out here , not even my family cares about my 5 month homeless situation. Please I beg.

Realtors are to blame for homelessness.They should have to have degrees with ethics laws. They should not be able to sell homes to investors instead of homebuyers and should not be able to set rents or home values.

Febe looks like a young girl herself! Why have children when you are a child yourself? What about staying in school & getting an education before you have children? I don't know her story, but it is so unfair to the children. I am very glad Febe obtained the help, and the children have a better place to live. Hopefully, things will get better for this little family in the future...🌹
Not all babies are planned.. I don't have any kids because I don't want them.but alchohol plays a pretty big part in a lot of pregnancy, I was scared a couple times... it's part of reality get off your high horse

You notice there is never any follow up in these exploitive video fundraisers. And that Reverend is truly freighting. Febe spoke of there being “problems at home” as well as there being “too many people in the house.” None of which makes sense, or is a legit reason to take children to a filthy, dangerous homeless shelter.
Was she at Hope Plantation a week or three years? She couldn’t deal with family, how did it work out with strangers.
