    Great video.
I see here you are mainly in a size/weight zone regarding review of these saws.
In my testing environments here in Alaska it goes something like this:
1.)Silky means efficiency at its finest by means of a person inclined to use pull-saw technique. In other words, it's not for a person that has no familiarity, careless with function, and may have watched a little Tool-Time. Silky is super sharp, aggressive, and the geometry is spot-on relative to build, materials, and the blade taper from teeth to thinning at spine.
That said... what to watch out for?
    A.) Pulling NOT pushing
B.) As teeth dull out - time to replace... PRECISION COMES AT A PRICE!
C.) Beware of breakage in below 0 F temps --- especially on frozen wood!!! It will snap like an icicle.
2.) Bahco is an all-arounder... generally speaking always good enough and well thought out. tho' less efficient --- It also has the reliability edge in severe cold conditions in blade reliability. Pushing and pulling can aid some tasks or confined spaces.
Corona is a garden variety... light camping and housework or a first saw.
Hope this sheds some more perspective from a different environment.
The better saws in the silky line for me tend to be BigBoy, KatanaBoy, & PocketBoy.
giving the Silky GomBoy a run for its money is the Tajima G-SAW 240.

Have you ever used one as a bone saw for processing game? I am wondering whether to get the medium or fine tooth for bone. Thanks

    Hey Aaron,
Thanks for the review. You didn't mention the 2nd position that you can set the blade into... There's a 2nd locking notch in the blade so that you can lock it in a sort of 'blade up' position which I've found really helpful for cutting material close to the ground.

I've watched a half dozen or so folding saw reviews researching items for a kit. You are the first to mention the teeth and which types of wood they will cut the best. An important piece of information don't you think? lol I appreciate the lesson on teeth because it is something I hadn't even thought of. The best reviews are the ones you learn something from. Great vid! You and the Lt. Colonel are my go to guys when I need legit information and comprehensive, honest reviews of equipment in this area. Keep up the good work. Thanks!

Nice, I have the silky super accel. Have used a few other silky saws like the big boy and zubat. So far I've loved them all. Never tried a bacho saw but with so many good reviews out there I'd love to try one some day.

I've done countless testing on my channel and have found the Silky to outperform all other folding saws plus some bow/buck saws out there. I do alot of professional tree service and while the corona is slightly cheaper, the blade steel is softer then that of Silkys. Meaning the coronas dull quicker and cut slower over time.

Pocketboy 170 & Gomboy 270 here. Awesome folding saws. I could never understand the hype about the Bahco Lapplander. Silky saws are so much better imo.

Great video Aaron as always. I love my Bachos they work awesome , but I recently purchased the Silky Pocket boy I got for my smaller bag, and this thing rips right through everything. I can only imagine how that one would do. Looks like a great saw ,, oh yes ,, still loving that Steel Will blade I won last month,, thanks !

Finally, we agree on what is good and what is bad. The Silky Gomboy shames the competition, plus it is made in Japan, and they pay their factory workers $27 an hour on average; So you can sleep at night, knowing you weren't supporting the exploitation of cheap labor from RoC and PRC.

The Bahco is a bit slower, but I find it makes cleaner cuts. Which of course doesnt really matter in the woods 99% of the time. The Silky tears through wood, which is generally what I'm after!

Excellent! I picked up that exact same saw when I was in Japan last week and paid about $20 for it at a tiny hardware store in Tokyo. Looking forward to testing it this weekend.

I use the Gomboy 300 (medium teeth) and Bigboy 2000 (extra large teeth). They put every other folding saw I've used to shame. Silky is the top of the food chain of folding saws.

I have the silky saw 230 gomboy. its a inch longer closed and I love it:) you missed the second setting on this saw. by pressing button you can tilt blade back so handle is up for low cutting near the ground.

Awesome. just curious, why did you go with a 210 gomboy over the 240. I have the 240 and the slightly extra long blade makes it easier for cutting without sacrificing the weight too much.

It really works well it has about a 5 inch blade and fits in a cargo pocket. I carry it on overnighters and long hikes. Anything under 4 inches it handles quickly. You can also order other teeth sizes for different types of wood.

This was a really good review and Defoe interested in getting a silky. Would of been nice to see you try the second blade position to see how that faired. I have a bahco but got it in a set with a Mora Lapland (companion) for £22 so couldn't complain.

Actually the silky pocketboy 170 medium teeth would make a better comparison with the laplander, purely due to the closer size similarities. But am pretty sure the gomboy cuts just as well as the pocketboy. Anyhow great video always looking forward to yours.. keep it up!
