Charlotte - one of the many things I love about you...is how humble you are and how you encourage the "no pressure" substance to your videos. Theres so much pressure on social media and society these days on the superficial (if that makes sense). Most of us are normal, hard working, imperfect middle class people.... and you have a gift of making things pretty, pleasant, yet easy and do-able for those of us who may not have the big house, or the impressive lifestyles, or the budget to impress. You on the otherhand have a way of making things doable, pretty, impressive, and pleasant. Thank you so much for this video. It helps us (the majority) be able to treat ourselves, (and in this video our loved ones/guests) as SPECIAL!
Poo-pouri, and a small tray of Tylenol, Advil, gasx, tums, etc. when traveling, changes in diet happen and sometimes that leads to digestive upset. A guest may not have packed anything for those conditions.
You are so thoughtful, Charlotte! The whole time I was watching I got choked up because you remind me of my Nan SO MUCH. She had a tiny row home and anytime she had us sleep over, she went above and beyond to make sure we were so cozy, comfortable, not scared and just felt loved. There aren't many people like you (or her)!

Another great video, and as always awesome ideas. We also have an office/guest bedroom in our apartment. And I do have a twin bed set up there. I actually do some of the things you mentioned but I got some ideas for new things and touches I could do for the the next time we have guests staying overnight. I am always looking forward to your videos.
Wonderful hosting tips. I’ll also add that having a fan or air purifier out for your guest is great to have just in case. I’m a person as is my mom that sleeps with a fan to sleep. When someone is used to background noise to sleep and they don’t have it, it makes is hard to sleep. And the air mattress really is wonderful. We had the exact one for almost 10 years and it was for extra guests when they would come and it went camping with us for years. It is very comfy so I’m sure your guests love it.

Lovely and welcoming! An over nite guest of ours, ( a teenager!?), pushed the air mattress alone the edge of the couch and made a bed that was a little larger than king size. Rather than sleeping lengthwise on the sofa, they slept across both the sofa and the air mattress. Talk about comfortable! It really upped our popularity. Thanks for the great tips!

Today was the last day or my gender studies class and I high key miss it. Even though I participated in discussions once in a while, it was so relaxing and I learned so much. The professor is like 25 so she was very relatable to a lot of us, especially bc she had done her under grad at my college. Ugh I’m sad😢
My guest room is also a repurposed office. But half the size! Our houses are smaller over here in the UK. It is so small that the corner desk doubles as a bedside table!

I have a dreamegg I bought from Amazon for white noise and nightlight. I don't need the nightlight but the noise helps me out when it's way too cold for me to turn the fan on. It definitely does help me relax to go to sleep. If I could travel with it, I would lol
Charlotte, what a cozy atmosphere you created for your guests! Your thoughtfulness shines through in all you do! My husbands family has a lot of allergies and I try to make sure we have foods available to accommodate them. Also, if our guests have young children I try to pick up a little toy or activity/coloring book as a little fun surprise for the child.

Hehe, true. I just know I've gotten "in trouble" in the past for clips of music I didn't even realize were on, so unless I'm willing to do the due diligence and find something in fair use I try to steer clear :)
If your guest bedroom is big enough for it, I always put one of those little mini fridges in. I fill it with different fruits and veggies that they can snack on. Or I'll even go as far as adding fruit infused water.

Yep I have that same pink tree. This year we opted to have a pink and glitter tree even though I have three themes. Pink is sooo beautiful this year.
