This song was recorded when Sissel was quite young, no older than 19 by the sound of her voice, maybe only 17 or 18. What amazes me is how well she sang at such an early age.

@@jipebizz123 Agree so much. Love this version a great version and different from the spirit of the others But Edith Paf hers was perfect from the soul. And written about the love of her life. Incidentally Love Vera Lyn’s version too _- the forces sweetheart but was born two years after the war nostalgia plays its part.

Her good voice here would go on to develop into a wonderful instrument. She is a remarkable singer who didn't put her talent above her obligation to family and so isn't up there with Celine and other better knowns.

Someone posted that this was sung by Sissel when she was about 13, and it does remind me of the 13-year-old Sissel singing "Evergreen" in a video clip posted here on UA-cam. Like most of the people who have posted here, I am totally impressed with Sissel. I listen to some of her music everyday, and it just gets better with every listening (for me). I appreciate SisselFanForever for posting this. It is interesting to hear and watch Sissel grow as an artist. Thank you.

As always, Sissel continues to amaze me - her angelic voice just consumes me. But you ask us to rate this video. What video? You merely display a photo of Sissel for the duration of her recording. I give thumbs up and an overwhelming cheer for Sissel's voice, but for a video which is no more than just a photo lasting 4+ minutes I give a thumbs down. Anyway, I am subscribed - you are tops in my book for bringing so much of Sissel into my world of on screen viewing! mike
