    His repetitions of "this is not very nice, it's very mean," is hilarious. Sifu Paulson is just one of the funniest martial artists out there.

    This is one of the most enjoyable things I've watched. Not only is it fascinating technically, the attitude of Erik is both entertaining and laudable. When he said "oh, you're mouthing off??? you need to be escorted outside" tells us that this is a guy who doesn't take any crap and who knows right from wrong... an a-hole's worst nightmare.

      VERY TRUE BUT THAT IS NOT ADVISEABLE IF THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE ASSAILIANTS...THIS WOULD BE USELESS BECAUSE YOU COULD BE KNIFED OR WHICH EVER...ONE ON ONE....OUTSTANDING BUT NOT OVER 3 PEOPLE

    @JustAintthatWay It's worthy of mention that the first 30 minutes or so of this DVD is devoted to the healing side of things, and proper warmups for the neck before he goes into the vigorous cranking. I think a lot of lip service is given to warmup exercises and the healing side of things, but Paulson takes the time to show solo and partner neck adjustments... learning the Healing modality is given a lot of attention in this video.

    Eric's mentors are Gokor and Gene LeBell amoung others. He also has a black belt in BJJ with the Gracie black belts the Machado brothers.
    You can wait to your a brown belt at Gracie Barra to learn leglocks or train with Paulson or Gokor.

      Not to mention he the years and years in Shooto learning Shoot wrestling/Catch wrestling under all those old school greats like Billy Robinson. Paulson would be a probably 5th degree black belt in Catch wrestling by now if those guys would award belts.

    I thought these were despicable when I had the chance. I didn't understand that in a self defense environment, with no one watching you back, you do not have the minimum 6 seconds to put someone to sleep with a carotid choke.

    do u ever worry about someone who has knife?

    • @jasonplaysthebass6030
      @jasonplaysthebass6030 8 років тому +3

      +JlingX Jolly We all do. Sensei Paulson and all of our pals have trained Kali/ Escrima extensively.... but if someone pulls a knife with malicious intent, you try to get away from them as quickly as possible. I've done dozens of hours of training with Sensei, and at least a third of it dealt with street fighting scenarios where we're spotting weapons, stopping the limb, and breaking it, cranking it, and ripping it off their body as inhumanely as possible.

    • @user-bx9jo3pi6z
      @user-bx9jo3pi6z 7 років тому

      How bout if you carry a knife too? Which i do... also a heavy police torch... just in case... personally i have zero problems having a knife fight with some uneducated wanker... less he has a gun... flashlight to the face and a swift knife attack... game over bro... only for self defence of course... if i felt threatened

    • @oszkarcsaky6886
      @oszkarcsaky6886 7 років тому +1

      Hume won by technical ko, with a small bleeding cut on Paulson's forehead, not by submission, nor by ko you idiot. Paulson has trained more and better athletes in ufc than Hume has.

  • @ericchristian6710

    This guy is lying. The technique might work but his stories are lies. He wants to be a bad ass, like the school bully, making up stories of all the people he's whooped.

      Eric Christian You simply have no idea fella. "This guy". Get a fucking clue.

    • @chadwhite1198
      @chadwhite1198 6 років тому +3

      Eric Christian - He's a former professional fighter with a solid legacy. He has no need to impress viewers. We are watching because we know what he's capable of. He tells the stories of the situations because they are relatable to the techniques he's showing.
      When you are a martial artist of his level, roughing up dudes in bars is not all that fulfilling.. Still kinda fun though.

    • @mattmgarza
      @mattmgarza 4 роки тому +2

      He didn't even make himself sound heroic in the story. He did something very quick and not flashy to stop the guy. He was reluctant to engage with the guy. I suspect it's a true story. He's not interested in whether we think he's tough because he knows he is.

    • @dsvec
      @dsvec 2 роки тому +1

      your baseless opinion, comes from your resentment of men who can step up and stop bad people. I suspect your the kind of snowflake that goes into convulsions when you hear about or see a gun. Eric Paulson dont need to lie. He has demonstrated his physical prowess.
