- Today we are mixing it up and chasing some smallmouth bass in northern Wisconsin. Fall is a great time of year to chase trophy fish of all species. During the fall smallmouth group up in deep water and some of the largest fish of the year can be caught. In this video I talk about an effective way to catch these fish during the fall period. Smallmouth bass fishing is a ton of fun and there is plenty of time this fall to get out and catch some studs. Thanks for watching!

So many crappie guys say don't let crappies go if they are caught more than 30 feet as they wont live anyway. Does this apply to small mouth bass as well.

Nice! Love fishing for smallies on a spinning rod. Always a great fight. You should come up to Georgian Bay. We've got an excellent smallmouth fishery.

some of us actually prefer the smallie stuff! we just gotta get your stuff out there to the bass community (which is much much muchhhh larger overall)

Awesome smallmouth video Tom. Up here in Quebec we can't use live or dead minnows. What would be another alternative for that technique. Thanks.
Good stuff. Anyone got any good smallie lakes a little further south in WI? Hayward is a bit far for a day trip from St paul area. Other than mille lacs of course.
You seem to lip hook them pretty well, but thoughts on circles? I tend to deep hook on minnows and j hooks even which a fairly quick set.

well most bass guys use artificials. I’d be embarrassed to use a minnow for bass

Clean clear lakes, best tasting, fat flakey filet fish! Turn on the fryer! If I fish walleye and I pull smalls... put them in the box all day long!
