I journal about what I did, how I feel and anything that is troubling or worrying me. It really helps me to stay calm and keep going. It lets me clear my head and do what I need to do.
I like that your videos are practical and succinct. I also just fell in love with my chic sparrow way point deluxe. I need to journal and because I want to carry it everywhere I'm Journaling more.
Thank you! Yeah, I’m always glad that I have it with me, even if I don’t end up with time to journal. Sometimes I just get so excited to write things down!
Your videos have gotten me hooked on traveler’s notebooks and travel journaling! I have a notebook cover from Webster’s Pages and I keep three notebooks in it, along with a pocket I just got to keep stickers and other stuff in. One notebook is for my current creative writing project, one is a brain dump journal where I take notes on whatever, and one is a little scrapbook journal kind of like your daily journal. I also have a separate hardcover travel journal that I take with me on trips, and I made a vlog a few months back about my first few entries in it when I went on a cruise around the UK.
I started using a travelers notebook last summer after I watched your video and I even went out and got a mini printer and I really liked it but recently moved into a leuchttrum1917 and that’s been a much better fit for me since it’s wider and allows me a little bit more space for projects. But I did wrap all my washi tapes around cards and it’s so convenient! I probably have 20 cards full of washi tape.
I’m flying to London in a few months and I really want to start a travel journal but I have no idea how or where to begin! Also, I’m going to the WB Studio Tour!! Wooooo!
That's so exciting! Have an amazing time! I hope to go back to the WB Studio Tour again some day - I loved it so much on my last London trip. If you wanted to, you could start out by just buying a traveler's notebook refill/insert and use that by itself on your trip - it's a good way to learn what kind and size paper you like without investing money upfront on covers and accessories. Then, if you like it, you can add those other things later and swap out the inserts as you fill them up.
I’m glad that you like the idea! I talked about that approach quite a bit in this video which was my introduction to traveler’s notebooks: ua-cam.com/video/DjkQ1vvZrpc/v-deo.html And then when I wanted to test out a smaller size, I took it a step further and made a video showing you how to make your own insert (with the goal of testing out the size before you invest in covers and multiple inserts): ua-cam.com/video/z70arEZ8G-A/v-deo.html
Hey there :) Love your review! I'm a huge Chic Sparrow fan, not to mention a Harry Potter-ite ☺️ Just wanted to say that I was concerned, too about the pen loop (I have a couple Chic Sparrow's like that), but after watching a few other reviews, I saw that the pen loop is designed so that if you don't liked it to stick out, you can start folding it in, and putting the elastic around the pen. After a bit of training, it'll fold in nicely :) I'll see if I can find the review that showed that technique, and post it here for you. Thanks again for your amazing vids!
Lauren Fairweather Kk, here's the link to the review where I saw the pen loop folded in... It's towards the end of the vid. The leather she's showing it with is the Waypoint which is very floppy, but I've been turning my pen loop in on my Maverick (quite a bit stiffer leather) and it's transitioning slow but sure! Anyhow, here you go :) ua-cam.com/video/DG_yR80co84/v-deo.html
$100 is pretty steep but man, that cover is gorgeous! im gonna have to invest in a real leather cover. but until then ill keep using my beat up faux leather recollections tn. i still really love it
I usually keep it in a backpack so I don't really notice the weight but everyone has their own preferences for size and layout. They do make them in smaller sizes if you want something you could put in a purse, but I find that I prefer the size of the paper on this one. I do have a few smaller ones, but I personally keep coming back to this size.
If you're interested in hearing more about smaller TN covers, I've made videos about a pocket-sized Chic Sparrow: ua-cam.com/video/HZr8mwkBfaA/v-deo.html And a pocket-sized Webster's Pages TN: ua-cam.com/video/iaCU9deeFm4/v-deo.html
Thanks for the lovely review, Lauren!
I’m glad that you liked it! Thanks for making such beautiful products that spark and encourage so much creativity.

Ooh, that sounds lovely! Thank you for sharing it.
I love your TN setup videos!! thanks for sharing , Chic Sparrow is one of my favourites too.
Thank you! I've been trying a bunch of different brands, but these are definitely at the top for me.
I need to start putting some washi on old cards... and find my zipper pouch.
I love the color of the Bluejay from Chic Sparrow. Really pretty! Thank you for sharing your set up. Take care and have fun💗😁.
I was so happy they sent me that one! It’s a super pretty color. Thanks for commenting!

I cannot tell you how many hard cover journals I have with 7 filled pages, and 143 blank pages. It's a tragedy.
This is such a gorgeous setup! L💞ve Chic Sparrow! 🤗
Thank you! Their covers are so beautiful.
I know what I'm getting my mom for Christmas :)

Lauren Fairweather - great idea! That’s an idea worth elaborating on in a video! Trying one insert out, brilliant!

Lauren Fairweather Of course! 😊
I LOVE IT 😘😘😘
Thank you!!
So cute!!💕💕
Great video! how do you print out those adorable photos that you put in your notebook?
Thank you! I use a Canon IVY Mini Printer for photos. It prints on sticker paper!
Loved the video :)
Thanks so much!

Do you feel like it is heavy or bulky to carry around with you when you’re traveling? That is my biggest worry with a travel notebook.

I Love it, but í really want a little one that can go with me to all the places
