- Final Shape has brought a TON of new weapons and even archetypes. A new one is the heavy burst class of pulse rifle. In this review I go over the new trials of saint 14 pulse rifle: Aisha's Care. Really really weak imo. Again, it is very fun to use and duels well, but there is no world i use it over some other options.

Personally I really like it because even if it doesn't beat the ttk of other popular weapons, it's extremely easy (for me) to hit optimal ttk on this compared to 3-burst pulses. Used encore KC with knucklehead in trials and as long as I played long range I was beating red death and khovostov pretty consistently. In the 25-35 meter range high impacts win 9/10 times with the better ttk, but at the 36-40+ range it's way more consistent than messenger/Elsie's/red death. Not saying that makes it good but it's got a small bubble where I feel it shines.
@@IsSpiffyI love Better Devils, but you need everything to land for it to compete. I have gotten like 40 of them and two of them feel really good but most were mediocre or pretty poor. I have one with elemental capacitor and perpetual motion with 70 range and 69 stability that feels sooo easy to shoot, but it's a needle in a haystack.
And that's a pvp roll .. pve has some interesting combos, but I am not a strand player so I don't know the full extent of the gun's capabilities there.
I mostly play pvp, and I would rather use my good roll on Better Devils over Kept Confidence, which I have fully crafted and really enjoy. Make of all that what you will.

The weapon is not weak. The thing is, you need to build into the weapon (which sounds crazy). But if being killed before getting the third burst off is the problem, why not reduce your targets damage with Slice? Hunters can take full advantage of this now, considering they can run Coyote with something else in their Exotic class item, so they have a lot of uptime of their class ability especially with 100 Mobility (and Marksman's dodge if you wanna sacrifice Gambler's dodge). Remember that Slice is a -50% weapon damage debuff, which is huge.
Now you'll ask, why build into a gun when you can just pick a better gun? You're right. You don't choose the gun, the gun chooses you. It fit neatly into my build and I started loving it.
I never thought I'd hear "the best mid weapon ever created." I sure do love how Cool Guy always gives it to you straight.

CoolGuy, what I LOVE about your weapon reviews is that you don’t just give an informed opinion, but you also describe WHY a particular weapon, perk, or “roll” does or does not “work”.
I agree, in concert with your narration, that this new pulse archetype, with a 0.87 TTK that’s only reduced to 0.80 with Kill Clip active… it just can’t compete with the standard High-Impact pulse (Messenger, etc.) in PvP.
Based on your report, it sounds like this pulse NEEDS both Arrowhead Break and Desperado to be competitive, and even then, it’s probably just better to run Graviton Lance.
It seems to me like it plays like a Scout Rifle in the Pulse Rifle range, which doesn't really sound like a good idea 😅
I mean graviton lance is used by many people 😅🤔
@darklordshuaib Well, Graviton has infinite range (or near infinite? Can't remember if it was nerfed) on the second shot, and it also has the death explosion like Coolguy mentioned, which does have good uses, especially since it spawns homing projectiles which are extremely likely to hit.
Same issue as wardens law. Plays like a pulse but in handcannon range
@@kin-3877Not quite imo, I'd say it's more like a burst sidearm with 120 hc range/ttk, which more accurately captures its set of disadvantages to me. That being said it's my favorite primary lol
people who have a desperado liminal vigil (Spire Two burst sidearm) will sing you the praises of desperado on that thing, and its no surprise that its also great on two burst pulses
Unfortunately myself and a bunch of other people on bungie help forums cannot get this gun. Hit rank 11, but cant claim the saint reward...
I normally don't play Trials but this gun looked appealing af. Only played to unlock it all day on Saturday only to get hit with that dumb bug. Disappointing

Gutshot and head seeker is interesting too. I’ll need to check that out to see if there’s a play there combining the damage bonuses
They definitely stack which will give you forgiveness an gutshot enhanced will reduce target aim assist less.😊
I'm loving my zen moment desperado roll so much, this thing just melts with the increased RPM. it always misses without that with the ones i tried
Yeah this was my second adept and it’s the one I gravitate to the most. Absolute laser and I never miss crits

I have nearly 3k Revision Zero kills in pvp with the 2 burst mode. Something about how it shoots just clicks with me. I'm hoping that this can be its little brother 👀
Cool guy, the Bold Endings is nuts in pvp. You can get the new To The Pain perk and eye of the storm for crazy accuracy, or Pain and moving target for the best feeling hand canon ever.

Gotta love how 90 Recoil Direction is awful for whatever reason. They really gotta rework how Recoil Direction works and it portrayed in-game
It needs to end in 5 or close to it for straight up. Odd numbers ending in zero pulls left & evens right. At zero you just used to be able to whack CB on & not worry. Now with DR you have to take individual weapons & figure out their pattern to compensate with your aim
@@HarlequinJitsu Ending in 5 is false info now. It’s just deterministic recoil so you have to learn how a gun recoils.
They just did rework how recoil work tho

Got a god-roll of this and man does it feel awesome to shoot, but I agree with you that it doesn't have a real defined place in the meta. Its TTK is more comparable to 140 HCs, and this weekend in Trials I just found myself swapping back to Rose more often than not. Still gonna enjoy using though, even if it's not competitive at high level it's fun as heck!
Couldn’t agree more, brought a 5/5 with zen/headseeker into trials and while I was able to get it to work, I needed to have significantly better positioning then the other team and would have been better off with almost any other gun.

I need a video on the new 180 hand cannon Sightline Survey. Yes, its a 180 but its actually REALLY good at dueling in the crucible
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the review and crafting it as well. It's one of the weapons I may use my deepsight harmonizer on to get the remaining 2 red borders. Also keen on Bold Endings. I've heard good things about it in the crucible.
If Desperado is the best perk to target, I have the legitimate 5/5 god roll other than it being non-Adept. I’ll have to give it a try soon.
My rank up rewards are bugged but this definitely seems like a fun weapon thats suboptimal
The two burst from KC must be a resil thing because I two bursted a hunter last night with it. But I'm glad I am not alone on the roll I want on this thing. I totally agree with you on the high impacts eating you alive on this thing. But most high impacts can't also fight 140s. I tried one with desperado and as someone who loved old desperado messenger this feels like the closest thing to it. So even if it is not the best I want one just for that feeling again
It took me a while to understand the sinusoid function that governs how the horizontal “pull” of the Recoil stat works in Destiny 2, but I DID eventually understand it. Higher numbers are “better”, but with an important caveat: two-digit numbers that end with a “5” (like 65, 75, 85) are inherently better than two-digit numbers that end with a “zero” (like 60, 70, 80, etc.).
Now you’re telling me that certain legendary weapons don’t adhere to this convention, regardless of the numerical Recoil stat number, because those certain guns have a “deterministic” recoil pattern that essentially ignores the regular Recoil stat “rules”?!? WTF?
How is the player supposed to know whether or not a legendary weapon has an over-riding “deterministic” recoil pattern versus the already-obtuse “standard” recoil rules pattern??
I think it's pretty valuable for me just because of the range, I will most likely use it for a higher range map swap off my HC.

4 bursts: too many shots, more time to get flinched
2 bursts: if it's a 3-peak?, It's a 150 Scout with its bullets cut in half
High Impacts on Headseeker: still the only viable 2-peak gun in the game
If the 2 burst needed a buff to be a little more competitive, what would you recommend?
However there aren't a lot of strand pulses, so this one could be good for PVE. I have a Nullify and it feels really nice in PVE, so I assume that Aishas would as well

I genuinely feel like if the actual RPM of these weapons matched the numbers shown it would be alot better.

I’d rather see 340s lose a bit of rpm. .67 TTK is a little too fast for any other pulse to compete. 340s are choking the life out of too many mid-long range primaries.

This pulse just sort of confuses me. The shooting experience is all over the place. It can feel really solid sometimes, but just as often it feels like I am shooting Nerf darts and that bullets are going into the void.
The real question, though, is why on earth would I use this? I would literally rather use Stay Frosty any day of the week. Certainly an adept Messenger runs circles around this thing, and it's not like this has a super lethal ttk, so I'd even rather throw on a Syncopation for ease of use.
It's in a no man's land where it just doesn't offer a truly compelling argument for using it. There's a better option for basically anything you are trying to do with it.

Yeah the moment I saw that it was doing like 42 per crit my brain broke. I was like wait so it has a ttk of a 140 hc but shots 2 shots in a burst and it takes 6 total shots so ur telling me u just made a high impact frame that kills slower? I want this gun to be good but yeah if they just upped the forgivness to make it a 4c 2b at base OR if they ever so slightly increased the fire rate so the trk could be say a .8 either one of these changes would make this frame competitive imo. As of right now there just slightly too weak. It almost reminds me of how lightweight frames used to be wayy before the buffs. All they need is a little bump and theyll be great. Till then Ill farm a godroll and wait patiently. 😂😂

Its sad that its damage is just in no mans land basically, just leaves people weak for the most part, exciting new frame type but disappointing result. I haven't gotten a desperado roll but that did look fun and like it could be the one thing to save this archetype.
If it actually shot at 395 it might actually be competitive, because right now its just not. It shoots to slow and if you miss one burst you're cooked🤷🏿♂️
Lets also put a spotlight on the HANDLING, it's waaay too heavy.

I have found it gives me the range of a 120, the peak shooting of a 140, and the ease of use of a pulse rifle. That’s where I think it sits in the meta. 😊
At the moment, I want it for PvE because it is the only two-burst kinetic slot pulse rifle. I like Revision Zero, but it is hard locked as an Anti-Barrier weapon. This isn't and doesn't use my one exotic weapon slot. I don't need it because it will shred everything with little effort, I want it because I like the two-burst pulse rifles, I like Desperado, and this does both.

Got an adept one today with Arrowhead/Ricochet/Under Pressure/Headseeker/Range MW and an Adept Stability mod, but it still feels way worse than stuff like Elsie's

To be fair the whole point of “doing everything perfectly and still not getting that third burst off” applies to almost every weapon archetype when dueling high impact pulses. Having a 0.67 ttk from neutral on an archetype with that much reach i s just a balancing issue on bungies part
So basically you're saying it's super fun to use, but it's undeniably mid. A placebo weapon, if you will.
So if I'm hearing correctly the real question about this weapon is how long do you want to be miserable playing Trials in order to get a few rolls.
It feels way more forgiving than messenger/red death. I really think for the average player it’s going to be more effective even if its ceiling maxes out lower.

I already got 444 kills on the adept. Honestly it’s pretty solid-im aiming for 1k on it soon so I can have a fair opinion on the gun itself.
100% agreed - putting in work on mine to get a solid opinion - have close to 600 kills and so far.. absolutely love it, the feel, the distance it can hit... It clicks.
Hey CoolGuy. I would love to hear your thoughts on Parabellum. I know it's a world drop so it's a little hard to come by, but I got my hands on a good roll and it feels incredible (Hammerforged, Ext Mag, Heal Clip, Dynamic Sway, Range MW). Just trying to make sure I'm not crazy 😂
I love it. Got zen with Hatchling or Desperado. I go full strand with tesellation so I’m using it in everything. Lots of anti flinch on mine with 60+ handling and stability. Love it. 🙂 Nice review.
What's the TTK with Gutshot Headseeker? Still .87? Or does it move to .8? Is it still 5c 1b? Or does it drop to 4c 2b?
I actually really enjoy this gun, lots of fun. I agree though really difficult to win duels if you aren’t shooting first.

Hey CoolGuy, have you thought about making a google spreadsheet with your tested weapons, the grades you gave them and your recommended perks? (+ importantly good recoil stats). I've come to trust your recommendations but a quick reference would be quite helpful!
