He sounds like a man who had a lot of struggles, like many. We are all in need of God’s mercy. I am naturally a pessimist. An introvert. Sometimes I feel trying to behave in a more Christian manner is being a fake, and God sees that. It will get me nowhere. But in prayer recently I felt I should focus on positive aspects of things when praying, not praying for an end of evil things, which of course we want, but focus instead on bringing the light, the good news, the hope. The light will overcome the darkness, so focus on the light! 🙏
Yes. We have to be joyful! It’s hard because the world brings us down but that’s when you need to withdraw from the world. We have no control over the evil in the world. We have to focus on the fact that God is in complete control. We only need to focus on our own relationship with God. But I get it. I get down and then I have to consciously fight it because the devil wants us to despair.
Thank you for this beautiful "eulogy". Didnt know anything of him but your kindness and words moved my heart ro pray for him. I too am excited that the veil is lifting and people are encountering our beloved Christ. I share with you many of the same "journey" points starting with 1995 in Mexico. It has been quite amazing the similarities. God Bless you and your "blogging" style. Shelagh From Canada
God love him. I seen a few of the more recently ordained priests his blog marred. They are actually very good priests. Sincere men. Some of his favourite prayers were of Christ and his suffering. I copied these poignant prayers from him and say them myself. His blog comments section was the haunt of dark cynicism. Not good. Pray for him. Thank you Mr Nugent for reaching out to him.
Sorry for your loss Robert. I don’t really know much about Pat but I find his blog to be profoundly sad, like reading a mad man’s journal, surely there is some projection on his part? In your experience was it as bad as he describes it? No doubt there is a lot of corruption I hope he is at peace now
He told the truth. Learn to know the truth and the truth sets you free. The truth is not just a word. Learn to know yourself first and then Our Lord can change you. Truth sometimes hurts. Our Lord sees and hears everything. Pat exposed the truth
This must be one of your most moving and beautiful messages, Robert. Thank you for sharing, with such simplicity & authenticity, your heart for the Lord and for your brothers and sisters in Christ. I put this one in my treasures Playlist. God bless you 🌹 Lord, open your arms to Pat that he may finally rest in your Peace 💙
Lord bless his soul. May he rest in peace. I can tell your sad Robert. Lord bless you. I will say a prayer for Father Buckley and for your healing over your friends passing.
Thank you Robert for your kind words about Pat. I agree with everything you said about him. I never met him but I followed his blog for many years although in recent years I felt he went too far so I usually only scanned it. But I was really shocked this morning when I read that he had died. I admit I cried as I felt I Knew him as he shared so much of himself. He was definitely unique. I pray God will be merciful to him. I wonder what will happen to the Oratory now. He only ordained a hermit priest there a few months ago.
Thank you for your heartfelt tribute to Pat Buckley R.I.P. It was enlightening as most of the press he got through the years was negative. Please God his trueness will finally come to light, and he will get at least some degree of respect.
Have known fr pat from he came over from liverpool on loan to down and connor and refused to go back when asked he also started his own church in Omeath ordained his own priests, went back to larne and lived with his boyfriend in a house belonging to down and connor,no one ever wished him bad ,may he rest in peace
A kind and thoughtful reflection on his life. Hopefully his generous acts bear fruit. He did a lot of bad things. May he be led to Heaven as someone most in need of His mercy.
Thank you Robert .Clearly you're following Jesus s teaching. Jesus came for the sinners as well as the good people. What was the parable of the lost sheep.?? Please visit the schools Robert Thank you .
The Lord is in control. Let us trust in His unending love. May His will be done. I pray the sufferings he went through serve as his purgatory or part of his cleansing process. May the soul of Pat rest in peace. May we all who believe continue to offer prayers for his soul.
I will pray a pray a Divine Chaplet for God's mercy on his poor troubled soul. Robert, you are a truly Christian man who transmits Christ's mercy and charity. Another great Catholic UA-camr, Fr. Jeffrey Kirby, recently explained that rainbow lifestyles are often rooted in loneliness more than anything else, and that we could probably prevent at least some of it by extending more genuine friendship to people who just don't fit in well with the social mainstream.
All well said Robert. + Pat RIP. It is important to shine a light on wrongdoing but it must be respectfully done. Everyone who does evil deeds hates the light. They will not come into the light. They are afraid that what they do will be seen. +Pat was not afraid of the light. PAX
We dont have any idea about the crosses God has given us to carry or those around us or why, what hypocrites we are, only learning this one, the only one we scrutinize is ourselves, every soul is loved and precious and if we cannot extend mercy to the worst sinners then we dont deserve mercy or heaven because Jesus forgave his executioners before he breathed his soul There is not one of us who can point the finger at anyone and May Pat be welcomed into the Fathers house as we all want to be and as a child of my Father I pray you Father to forgive Pat and I place your will alone as the first place of honor on all his acts and on all he forgot to love you on, I love you for them in his place in your Divine will, take him home my beloved Father as those who love much even if not how we percieve it suffer much, may he rest in peace, Fiat
Take your Priests to Our Beautiful Blessed Mother in Medjugorje if you can🙏🌍🙏🌹my Priest went after mocking and returned Saying it was a Special place and his Secretary said He had Never felt as Well as when he was in Medjugorje 🙏🌍🙏🌹
We are all broken in a broken world. I didn't know Pat Buckley in person but he was very well known, mocked and scorned both from the pulpit and the pew. Did he ordain Sinead O conner? I remember something about it years ago but my memory is vague about it. It was a man that stood for what he believed, right or wrong.
I think you're 'fair' in your commenting and what you say on Pat. He was vindictive. I used to follow his blog. (Boy, was he vindictive. Just what was 'true'?) "Suicide of a semiminarian"? Was Pat and blogging involved? Will I pray for him? I dont know. You say or imply he shouldnt have been (16:47) in the priesthood. But at least upon joining up, he did try, made an effort. As you say he met resistance along the way. But was he 'right' to expose some of the double standards he witnessed? Thanks for the 'fair' assessment.

May this poor man rest in peace. Thank you for the beautiful heartfelt words you spoke about this poor priest.
May he rest in eternal peace 🙏✝️🕊
May he rest in peace by the Mercy of God Our Father. Viva Cristo Rey
Robert, you’re such a good man. Thank you for being here x (Aussie Catholic sorely in need of encouragement)

Yes, there is Christ who is very forgiving to all who repent and he gives everyone the grace to repent if they admit the sin and seek forgiveness.
"Let him who is without sin ..."
Tho' most of us familiar with this saying.... what Gospel is it from?

Frequent Confession and Holy Mass and adoration would have helped guide him. May he rest in peace.

Not the worst person you ever met? What a eulogy. An abused child who exposed abusers? Never heard of him but I’ll check him out now.
This is very beautiful
This is the true Christian ethos ❤
Sorry I meant to post this under your more recent video about pat
What is your take Robert on Bishop Bellini in Cork? Was he ordained a Bishop in your opinion? In the traditional church.
He is the same as Pat Buckley, a man to himself. It’s a form of Protestantism. The Ballini phenomenon shows how divided the sspx are.
We are all broken in a broken world.
I didn't know Pat Buckley in person but he was very well known, mocked and scorned both from the pulpit and the pew.

+pat was a good man his blog is private now btw.
Funeral? Any details? Yet?
No idea. I know know those managing his funeral
@@thecatholicmanThanks for reply.
He was that heretic wasn’t he? God is his judge, but he harmed people by trumpeting his enormities and lead many astray.
I still ask people to pray for him
Was he not a Bishop ?
Only in his own mind. No church ordained him.
The amount of times you repeat the same sentence is very off putting
