In Moab, Island in the Sky at Canyonlands National Park, try Schaffer Trail down to White Rim Trail………even better than Death Valley. From a Vegas local. Also, Great Basin National Park is like the moon long distances with no services. Roads all over into the wild. Campground at 10k feet, with some of the best stargazing in North America.
Alriiiggghhtt Shawn! I'm super stoked to see you are enjoying California trails. I watch your videos all the time and think to myself "Man, those trails in BC look sooo nice compared to what we have here in California" but then here you are, loving the trails I take for granted. I guess the grass is greener on the other side lol. Awesome video!
Thanks!
Lol I thought same thing when he mentioned paradise in previous video! I thought it’s rocks and dirt! The trails he posts have lakes and streams and trees etc etc. all about perspective
Lots of people don’t see it, but there is beauty to the desert southwest. Glad I live out here, so many places to go. Great videos, keep it up!
Have to be blind for that.
You're right! I live in NM and LOVE cruising and hiking all the desert two tracks and mountains. Its awesome.
🙄🤦
This is literally Netflix quality stuff, loving this series so far!
Thank you!
Definitely
I'm surprised Paul didn't roll with blue rock lights! This trip is incredible. Getting better an better with each video!
Wow this was an incredibly intense drive! Glad everyone is safe! It was a heart stopper for sure😂
I got a chuckle cause us wheelers in California who have done these desert trails over and over say how much we like your trails in Canada and you say you like the trails in California. It's that familiarity thing. You should have seen Chicken Corner before they made it safe. It was really sketchy but someone rolled off it so they built it up on the driver side but still fun. The last 100 feet to Chicken Corner lots of folks hug that cliff wall to stay away from the edge and they shred their sidewalls. If you are lucky you see Big Horn Sheep in that area. I have gotten vid and stills of them and yes the desert Burros are cute also. If you claim a cabin for the night you fly the Stars and Stripes on the flag post to let others know the cabin is occupied. That area is actually Panamint Valley neighbor to Death Valley. There are a couple iconic trails in that area that us rock crawlers like to do , Defense Mine and Isham Canyon. You could do Defense Mine and just stay on the main trail but Isham would be way too tight for a Gladiator that you do not want to tear up. Was really cool to see you on our "Ho Hum" trails in a vid. I really love that loop. Happy Wheeling, Cheers.
That was really well done! Looks like an amazing trip so far.
Amazing good Shaun. You just get better and better. These journeys make me as a viewer feel like I’m right there with you. Having watched all of your video’s and all of the Epic video’s as well, I am amazed and motivated to do my adventures myself with my Gladiator. I find myself wishing I was in Canada so the Epic guys could take care of my rig. -RJ
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words.
I'm watching this on a freezing and snowy winter morning here in Quebec... I almost cried my life... 😂 Here we went snow wheeling last Saturday... We had lots of fun but given the choice, I would go for the desert all day long. These landscapes are just incredible, I miss being there sooooo much. Thanks for sharing again, stunning work as usual. Now I just can't wait for the next one!
Mate, that was the best overlanding of Death Valley I’ve seen. Great quality, gripping content, very much appreciated!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed. 👍
Another amazing video! Definitely way more sketch than I will ever do in that part where the recovery happened. Thanks for sharing your epic adventures.
Shawn, I think the hat totally suits you, and love all the music you choose for your videos, it always fits the scene.
Holy shit I just realized that Paul put on a canopy!!!
Another great episode. Such an awesome country the Us. Been there in 1995, would love to get back there one day. I migrated to Australia almost 20 years ago. Watching your videos from Canada and now this series, makes me wish I'd immigrated over there. Australia will have to do I guess. lol
Finding and staying in those old cabins is so much fun!
Epic! Glad y'all are enjoying the states ✌️
nothing beats "Jeeping" for the real outdoorsman
Glad you made it south. Check out all the trails in southwest Colorado around Ouray and if you ever make it to Texas Big Bend has a lot of great dirt roads.
That was so good. The one part of the trail near the end with the mix of desert + forest was amazing.
Thanks!
I love how fast you guys got a line on that jeep!!!!
Lol, my headlight relay burnt up one of the times I came down that trail in the dark. Simple trail repairs always add to the adventure. Glad to see you took the ridge route, it's truly magical. That said, you're wide rig's are reminding me how much I like my old, narrow Yota. Chicken rock is much better with a narrow rig. That said, you should try it in the dark ;) It's extra fun!
Sounds like my kind of party!
The risks you TAKE are worth the memories you MAKE!
Great Video brother, you guys put in some majorly good work, that near miss coulda been fatal so let’s all just tip our hats to these guys for being awesome at what they do!
Great video, Shaun. That shelf road was intense. Glad Maury didn’t go over; it looked pretty high based on one shot out your window.
Losing Chef Maury is just a necessary risk we were willing to take.
@@EPIC-4WD 🤣
A little late but absolutely fantastic video. I am so glad the USA presents a great challenge you enjoy. We love having you all here!
Thanks so much! 😊
Loved every moment of this overland adventure 👏🏼👏🏼
Those were some sick trails. Awesome!!
The timing of your DV adventures couldn’t be better! I’ve been planning another trip there for a few months, and seeing these videos get me extra pumped.
Last time we were there…a nice red jeep fender was laying in the raven right by chicken rock:) Nice thing to see right before you tackle the obstacle! Glad to see you guys getting to enjoy and explore our backyard!
Amazing !!! Can't wait for next week
Fantastic episode!
Awesome series!!!!!
You guys had a great day ! A few years ago the trail and chicken corner were a bit tougher. Been running the loop for over 20 years now and I still can't get enough.
Great trail! Was super fun.
Thank you Shaun for sharing this Awesome Adventure
So cool. Totally enjoyed it Shaun.
Thanks!
I'm so glad that you're visiting America. You're showing places I need to travel too.
Definitely a beautiful trail. Don't know If I would attempt it my F250 though, think a few of those shots just looked physically too narrow. Some spots in Moab were bad enough, especially one spot coming around a corner and my rear tire was hanging over the edge with probably a thousand foot drop. Hope Maury has some good seat covers after that one lol. Looking forward to the next vid!
You have the best cinematography out of all the offroaders I watch and thats well over a hundred different channels. keep up the great work.
Thanks!
Also ready!
This is Awesome! You got me hooked! Any way you can do a trail route map of this trip? Keep it up!
The shots, the music, the edits the adventure. Makes me forget about the off roading and I end up just watching the journey. Crazy creative!! I luv your expression of your perspective! If you guys were trying to throw a ring off a cliff, you might be as good as Lord of the Rings. ❤️
Thanks Johnny.
@@TheStoryTillNow Thank you for keeping me entertained! I look forward to your videos. Thank the rest of your crew for me! You guys are the Canadian version of the A-Team. The “Eh- Team” 🇨🇦
LOL, I like it.
Ayoooo!!! That was so sick! I swear the video footage keeps getting better and more creative! Love that shot out of the canyon in the dark with the red rock lights!!!!
Thanks Chad!
Shaun!! This is awesome bro, lived in Cali most of my life and have yet gone to Death Valley, definitely on the bucket list. Keep up the great work and see ya on the trail!!
If you make it out to Utah, you should meet up with Matt's Off Road Recovery, Paul from Fab Rats and Britney and Kevin from LiteBrite. If you've not checked out their channels, they all do some serious wheeling in and around Sand Hollow in Utah as well as all around the world.
You have a high production value in your videos. This feels like a NatGeo documentary more than "just a" UA-camr living his dream. Greetings from Finland!
You need to try Engineer and Cinnamon passes up past Silverton Colorado, the passes take you to over 12,000 feet and many of the switchbacks you have to back up even in jeep while being extremely steep some close to 40° , a server pucker factor.
Awesome adventure mate 👍🏼
Definitely need to check out engineer pass in Colorado. Also check out the old town of Silverton!
I live in Arizona and that is where I do my off-roading. I'm glad that these guys are enjoying their visit to the southwest U.S., but let's face facts: Where Shaun wheels in British Columbia is the most scenic area of all. That episode in October, where they drove the trail that was simultaneously a river, on its own defines why anyone would own a 4WD in the first place. Also, I find it entertaining that these Canadians all think that Shaun is wearing a cowboy hat, which it is not.
That's the joke, it's just a cheap hat from a gas station.
@@TheStoryTillNow Great video once more Shaun. Hat looks more like an Australian Bush Hat
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
That camera angle at 16:50 is sick! I live for shots like that 💯👍
I love that shot.
The flat rock closest to the wall you all drove on at chicken corner used to be much taller and a hazard until it was blasted down to a drivable rock a couple of years ago just after they re-did the old pole Bridge into the new retaining wall. Did that loop in my F150 in Oct, that tight corner a block before chicken corner was the hardest part.
I have been to Panamint city in a Jeep twice before they closed the trail to motor vehicles. It is a shame you guys couldn't experience that for yourselves. You had to winch up 7 waterfalls to get to Panamint City. It used to take all day to go 5 miles to get there.
Yeah I'd love to do that.
Come to Arizona and hang with your fellow B.C. residents lots of fun in the desert here 👍
Thank for another great adventure.
Love your channel and great to see you extending that exploring south
Thanks 👍
Absolutely awesome ❤️
When you were showing the camera angle from the tire on the edge, not gonna lie got me kinda nervous. Especially with that longer wheel base on that gladiator and then when you past that you something like ok now we are coming up on chicken corner. Wait what??? That wasn't chicken corner we just passed? 🤣
Amazing, me personally not a fan of shelf roads, Good on you guys! Those cabins!!!
I am lovin this series! Maybe one day I'll get down to the US to do some adventuring.
Nice job with recovery 👍
Consistently amazing and inspiring videos 👏👏
Glad to see you guys are having fun down there in America, I hope all your friends and families are doing well in BC guys, I just can't believe this sheer devastation there every day I watch the news especially down in Abbotsford BC, and KC250 and the rest of those guys now are cut off they can't go visit BC until they fix the highway I guess they could fly in if they have a helicopter or a plane but who who owns helicopters and plains, anyways amazing drone footage as usual Sean keep up the great work brother and like I said I'm glad you're all doing all right I haven't seen anything from Teddy in a while I hope him and his family are doing all right also Derek garage anybody know if hes doing OK anyway K anime's guys keep up the Amazing adventures that you all have together, II look forward to them each week, it's the little bit of joy each week that I get so thanks yeah yeah so thanks guys!!!
Wow, both hands on the wheel and a tight grip on the seat.
We did this trail on Saturday. It’s a freaky trail especially the first half of it
Best video of DV!
Awesome video you guys, we hope you are enjoying Death Valley. We were just there for 3 days on Thanksgiving, it would have been awesome to run into you guys!! Safe travels on the rest of your adventure. If we ever get up towards BC maybe you all and Casey can show us some trails.....
Shaun vs Casey hat contest, close call. Nice views, pucker shelf roads, great video.
Cheers
Another awesome video!
This looks like so much fun! I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Thanks!
Been watching your videos and I’ll tell ya they make me wanna buy a Jeep and go hit some mountain roads.
Just found your channel and have been binge watching so many of your videos! I love the content and excited for your future adventures. Greetings from southeast Idaho ✌️
Glad you like them!
Awesome!
I just got a 2 door jk this past weekend, I’m amped to get out and ride some more technical stuff, this channel fires me up to get out there 💯👍
Have fun!
Good work
Thank you! Cheers!
As an American desert rat that has wheeled all the Western rocks, I feel the same way when I watch your videos in the forests of Canada! So different from anything I've done!
Nice video ....👌👍
Great action taken to get that Jeep off the hanger, would ride with y’all anytime
So beautiful, I'm glad you are getting to see different scenery. I can definitely tell you are happier on the trail because of it lmao! How many miles are on the Gladiator now?
77k
I love all your movies, they have a wonderful atmosphere. This one is amazing;) Thanks to you my dreams of seeing the USA become reddened. Greetings from Poland
You finally made it to the Desert! Are you coming to Arizona?
Passed through but no wheeling this time. We're home now.
Hope u guys get to see moab!!! First big trip for my family and our jl. Soon as we find the time.....
9:28 there used to be a log bridge right there, it had some pucker factor. They put the metal in and back filled it a few years ago.
Great video, are you going to go to Big Bear CA and do any of the Jeep Badge of Honor Trails, there is 3 trails there. Gold Mountain, Holcomb Creek and John Bull. All black diamond Trails.
One day maybe.
Wow”” beautiful keep it up 👍🏻
Thank you, I will
thank you for your Video and the memories. i was 2019 and 2020 in the death valley nationalpark for photography and offroad
What do I do when a new video from Shaun comes out? I take tea, cookies, press "like" and start watching! )
Hey Shaun! I'm glad y'all are enjoying the " American Tour".... I follow the Epic Family Road channel and , much to my surprise,. And saw you were on their latest video! I was like WOW, look there's Shaun! They seem like really good people too 👍
They are amazing people. We had a blast!
@@TheStoryTillNow awesome! Thanks man 👍
Damn. Nice video
How do you almost fall off a service road??? 😂 😂😂
I bet if you watch the video you will know the answer.
@@TheStoryTillNow I did or I wouldn’t no the Jeep almost fell off the side of a service road lol but good video none the less.
Speechless 🤟
Hope you are coming to Utah !!!
We sure did! Coming up in a few weeks.
There better be a Rubicon trip in here since you are in California!
Was the wrong season for the Rubicon, but I'll get there at some point.
Wow. Super sketch.
I purchased one of your decals for my JKU and when people ask me about it I tell them it's my therapy Channel. Thanks for what you guys do.
Long time fan i wish I would've known you where in socal a meet and greet would've been super cool! Especially since you boys live in Canadia! :p lol
Next great epi c adventure
There’s a mine you can drive in close by! Please tell me you did that! Love the videos!
Looking for the annex for the ikamper mini, who sell them in Vancouver.
