This clipper is the truth. It cuts like the cordless masters but isnt loud and its lighter and 4 hours of battery compared to 90mins. The guards actually cut similar to the purple magnetic guards which surprised me. Of course they dont latch on like the dbl magnetic guards do but i dont mind very much. I would say if i had to knitpick anything it would be that you cant hear the hair being cut sometimes especially the shorter hair lengths when fading the skin line etc and that the lever is more of a loose lever. Personally i like a loose lever but even tightening the lever it actually doesnt harden the lever much. I could see some people not liking that. Best cordless clipper out though for sure. Quiet light and powerful
Mike The power they give with the quiet motor gives them an edge for sure. And I agree with you, if their guards were like the magnetic guards from Andis, that would be a win. Can’t wait to see how the trimmers are.
@@CutsByReggie Me too man i cant wait. I actually found a reason to use the slower speed and thats when cutting really long straight or wavy hair. The fast speed still cuts the hair good but it does leave some long hair behind. With the slower speed it grabs onto more hair. Also cutting through wet hair with the slower speed is better. Most of the time with super long hair I clipper over comb it first anyway but I did test that out and found it interesting.
enjoying ur in-depth reviews, so thank u for that... & im thinkin their size & shape might just make them good for free hand work like flat tops & clipper over comb... & according to a email from jrl, that cutting blade is a ceramic blade with a titanium coating on it, so thats why it stays cool for so long, & according to another video on here (think it was rum barber?) they said the magics weighed in at 10 ounces & the jrls came in at 10.3 ounces, so like u said just a tad bit heavier, but close... thanx again for all the great videos & very honest in-depth reviews, 'priciate ya. god bless dude
Here’s some tips if you’re thinking of buying these & are used to the seniors: - if you’re not familiar to taper blade &/or fading with a master you can swap blade for wahl fade blade (won’t make it loud) - another is I didn’t like the click lever, you can also convert it to an floating lever -If you have a tomb45 battery adapter for the babyliss fx trimmer, you can use it on either the jrl trimmer or clipper to charge wirelessly on tomb45 station or mat ( FYI there is a UA-cam video about this if want more info)
Hi Reggie, please tell the charger can work international with adaptors, I meen the voltage is from 110 V TO 220 V or only 110 V for USA. It must be wrote on the charger... PLEAESE READ IT FOR ME BECAUSE IM FROM EUROPE AND I WANT TO PURCASE DE CLIPPER. BIG THANKS
They work on the preorder system so you kind of just gotta keep an eye on their website to catch one. Or you can probably DM them on social media and they be able to tell you when they will be taking orders again.
I’m thinking of when wahl comes out with newer clippers if they will put a better battery life in clippers also with the charging indicator when they are dying?
I would love a longer runtime. The seniors are great clippers but with only a 90 min runtime it’s tough to pick them over a 4 hour clipper with at least the same power. The 9mm from Caliber and the 2020c are top products right now.
They come with a taper blade and they have been great so far with removing bulk. Sometimes using the slower speed helps against them getting caught in thicker hair.
Hey brother I came across this video again in my recommended and I got to thinking which clipper is better the ff 2020c or the rebel? I own 2 ff 2020 clippers and trimmers to match but I'm stuck brother I can't figure out if I'm buying the babyliss or the rebel your video on the 2 pretty much convinced me to go rebel but I was curious about the jrl vs the style craft
They are a great clipper if you like that style of clipper. Im so use the lever and everything that I can’t get use it but those and the FX3 clipper are great picks if you like that build.
you can put gold magic clip blade or faper blade on it but heard good things about jrl blade should be better than faper blade lebrons mother delonte west cavs 😂😂
They work on the preorder system so it may be hard to get them. But if you follow them on IG they will let you know when they will have them on sale again.
Bro I’m a wahl guy I tried these and fell in love I actually put the black sc fade blade and it’s a game changer 🔥🔥🔥
I love your review, it sold me.. I'm definitely going to buy this!.. in my mind this clipper is a 5/5

Mike Thanks for that tip on the slower speed. 👍🏾
@@CutsByReggie No problem! I actually preordered a second pair so I can put a fade blade on the second one.
I agree with everything you said!! I have a pair and a bought another and the trimmer !!! I love mine as well!!

Now where would u put them today
I swear Reggie don't miss boi, y'all gotta give this man some credit on his clipper game
🙏🏾
That's some real good comparison on the trimmer and the clipper. Sold me
Great review! Can't wait to get my hands on a pair in the UK!
Barber in Maryvylle TN, I’m sold on the JRL now. Thank you, my friend 🙏🏼
Stay healthy 👍
Great review Reggie!! Quick question: does the Wahl charger fit on these JRL's??
No. They are 2 different plugs. It would be nice if there was some sort of universal charger for all clippers.
@@CutsByReggie Got it Reggie. Yeah wish it was the same so we wouldn't need so many different chargers at the station haha

If u don't like how far the lever opens can u change the slider so it don't open up to much for a wahl slider
Bevel gone need that residual check
You know when somebody serious when he talks great review
🙏🏾
A fan brother much respect 🙏. How do these compare to the Andis master's as far as the fact that the master's opens up from a 0-1/close to open
Hey bro slow speed for detailing or clipper over comb
Dear colleagues, can you tell me how you can check JBL for originality?
nice review man, you got test times for the charges and everything. good stuff

Reggie bro how did you get your hands on these clippers i cant find them anywhere ???
They work on the preorder system so you kind of just gotta keep an eye on their website to catch one. Or you can probably DM them on social media and they be able to tell you when they will be taking orders again.
Im not going to lie I've been debating on getting them and just because this video I know what I'm ordering for Christmas
Man you can’t go wrong. Between these or the Gamma+ Ergo. Both are great clippers
I’m waiting on them to start another pre order . I just hope they don’t get loud after a month or the battery starts to give out.
Did they?
do wahl secure fit guards fit on the JRL?
I’m thinking of when wahl comes out with newer clippers if they will put a better battery life in clippers also with the charging indicator when they are dying?

jut bought these these are one of the best clippers I've ever used
Have you ever used the wahl cordless designer? If so are you a fan?
I haven’t personally used them myself but one of the barbers I work with lives by them. And I have heard nothing but good about them.
What’s the update on them? Did it ever get loud like the cordless senior when the cam follower gets worn out?
Did not get louder at all and stills holds its weight. These are one of my main clippers for everyday usage. Great for bulk removal
@@CutsByReggie nice. I’m thinking of picking up a pair. Maybe the trimmers too. How do u like trimmers? Are they any good?
Sup King
Do these have a fade blade or a taper blade on them? Also how are they with removing bulk?
They come with a taper blade and they have been great so far with removing bulk. Sometimes using the slower speed helps against them getting caught in thicker hair.

Dont buy anything man
senior gold magic clip instinct ergo they all great clippers
How do you feel about the jrl freshfade 1040 I'm a barber student at Boise Barber College in idaho
They are a great clipper if you like that style of clipper. Im so use the lever and everything that I can’t get use it but those and the FX3 clipper are great picks if you like that build.
How do the clippers hold up to alot of sanitation, does the paint fade or casing Crack like the wahl detailers?
They hold up very well. At least during the time that I have had them, I have not seen any discoloration or anything.
Thanks for the video imma have to cop me a pair!
😄 i hate the blade on jrl can i put another one like gamma +
you can put gold magic clip blade or faper blade on it but heard good things about jrl blade should be better than faper blade
lebrons mother delonte west cavs 😂😂
Where are these manufactured
Nice review brotha 🤙🏾
Thank you I touched on things I wanted to know 🙏🏽
Bro how u cut like 3-4 heads in 45 minutes
Ikr
Great review, thank you
Solid review thank you
Have you tried the Ion Extreme High Torque clipper & trimmer. I heard it's made by JRL. The truth🔥🔥💯
I haven’t but I will look into that.
@@CutsByReggie I uploaded a video of them. A quick review
ive added the fusion blade to jrl and its a totally different class
You just switched the blade ?
Are those clippers good for the fades?
For sure
Do you think it is better than the style craft rebels?
Can you use wahl guards?
Yep. I actually prefer them. Nothing wrong with the JRL, the Wahls just seem to have a better grip.
Nice , thanks
This or rebel?🤔
Rebel
I cant find the clippers :/
They work on the preorder system so it may be hard to get them. But if you follow them on IG they will let you know when they will have them on sale again.
Can these run off cord
Yes they can.
Keep it up G 👍
Damn, it’s an actual screw driver 😂😂😂
Those JRLs look like a Bevel version of a clipper.
I want them but they are
never in damn stock smh!
That’s the one thing I hate about them and the Gamma+ line. They do preorder runs on certain items which can make it tough to grab a pair.
Finally got a pair they are awsome
Putting a wahl fade blade on mines...
How much $$
EzDuzED Quince $165
Replace your blade on your babyliss trimmer with the 2.0 blade and it won't sound like tgat
Yup I have the graphite 2.0 and still loud as hell
I would love them more if they had a stand
For sure. Word is they are working on one this year but we shall see.
They do have a stand but they are currently out of stock
JRL 2020C 268gr MAGIC CLIP 290gr
U were paid to review these?
TMoney Nah, just an honest review. I Wish!
I want to trim that 1 grey hair so bad.
😂😂😂
Jrl vs wahl senior
Right now it’s Wahl Senior but the JRLs are not far behind.
Я хоть из России и ничего не понял, но все равно интересно)
