@FuQin Pan it means that it’s a internal disability like if you have back pain! You can’t tell if someone is having back pain unless you ask! Which is why they call it quote on quote invisible disability!
This reminds me of the furby that was popular a number of years ago. Those were also interactive. They "awoke" speaking only "furbish" but after a while started using more recognizable words. Each one had it's own name - tho it took a while to recognize what it was saying. If you left it on and didn't mess with it, it would start making sounds to get your attention. The first one I got would eventually sing "doo bee doo bee doo" in the melody of "strangers in the night". And they would make a big as if to say "I'm bored." You could also put several together and they would play with each other. I had 2 of the big ones and one baby. The baby was a tyrant. It would take over the play sessions. "You dance!" and the other two would start dancing. "You sing!" and the other two would sing (but not the same thing). Then finally "You sleep!" and the other two would go to sleep! Then it would start demanding my attention. Kinda creepy actually. 😬
My aunt got me a black furby that was dressed as a wizard. Now my sister has him and gotten into customizing furbys. She didn't destroy the wizard, he is already pretty sweet.
I had 3 of them. I still have 1. I forgot how noisy they were when I showed them to my niece and nephews. Needless to say, they found it just as creepy and would carry it by the tuft of hair to keep it from "waking". I still have the "dictionary" it came with. I held it upside down as a kid and it got "angry" which terrified me so I stopped playing. It sounded quite demonic (to my tiny ears and brain).
Late comment, but have to say 'THANK YOU, NERDECRAFTER!" 👏 My sister bought a Magic Mixies for her son's birthday party as a magic show spectacle. I shared your video with her and we each watched it multiple times. Pre-charged the cauldron, familiarized the steps and sounds, and the live demonstration in front of 12 kids went PERFECTLY! So thank you for your content and essentially being the midwife to little 'Gunther' 😂
I know they sell refills for this, but I've seen people make their own as well using stuff like baking soda, tiny homemade bath bombs, glitter etc. And you can put things in the compartment where the toy was, which I think is cool because it could be a really cute way to give kids a gift with something new in there haha.

Jackie, in the UK the Magic Mixers cost £60. And you can buy spell/mist refills for £20 but you don't get another character, only the spells. I think that's good but the entire package is around £30 too expensive to my mind! Cute doll and all but there was a toy just like this when my kids were little, Furby I think they were called and with that one you could talk to it and it would interact with you way more than that one you got does. So basically, it's a knockoff of a Furby with a bucket and a wand! I'm not saying it's not cute, coz it is. But for that much money, I feel there should be more to it. Am I becoming a Grinch or am I just seeing a Furby in a bucket with some flashing lights?
I absolutely agree these things look over priced as heck. I'm glad you can get refills to use it again, because prior to this I thought it was a one and done, but it's still excessive. I don't think I'd realistically pay more than $25-$30 for this. Furbys were never anywhere near that expensive! I had one and so did my grandparents, and they were like $10! $50-$150 is absolutely ridiculous.
I think that’s a good thing that they are a little less interactive than furby, I had one of those things and it was totally evil and had mean eyes, this thing is nothing but adorable,
If you get it at retail it’s not bad. I found it at Walmart for $54. Made my kids Christmas. Mine recently got more in stock as well but they are now $59
At one point, the company changed the price point by about 40-50 dollars, going into the 100 dollar range retail. This was pre-Christmas. They saw that it was hugely popular and decided to take advantage.
I have several invisible disabilities and they are such a hard thing to deal with sometimes but Jackie you have been an amazing inspiration to me not only to share but to become more of a self advocate and have taken my life back into my own hands. Thank you so much. 💓
I found some at Wal-Mart for $56 before Christmas. The cashier seen it asked where I found it and then he got one for his niece. He said his sister looked every where. I hope the little girl that got it liked it. It was a Sub for Santa gift. I kind of wish I could have seen her face.
I remember them from black Friday sale, a father and daughter had a cart full of them, I thought they were cute at the time but had no idea what they were or why they had so many.
My little sister got one of these and started running around yelling, “where’s my magic mixie?!” She had lost the mixing wand and was yelling and banging on doors looking for it 😂. Other than that she was very happy with the experience.
Jackie, you are a light in a dark world; your videos have given me free doses of serotonin right when I needed them for so long now and I hope you know you're appreciated for it!
I just wanted to let you know that although I've only been watching for half a year or so, I'm disabled and mostly bedridden. You bring such joy to my life and always make me laugh. When you took that mini break over the holidays, I missed you so much. I giggled when I saw your first of the year video pop up and again today, I had a huge smile when you posted another new video. Thank you for being you. 💜
I hunted one down for my daughter for Christmas. I spent an entire morning repeatedly checking and refreshing my Target app. I was thankfully successful because we loved it! I only had to pay $60 for hers. 😬 What sold me was the fact that you can reload it and buy refill charms to make new (or already loved) friends. 🖤
When you said about seeing the one on the shelf I could relate. Often I have gone without the intention of buying something, but when I see just one and see online it's sold out virtually everywhere, I buy it!
Having gone ththrough the original Ferbie and then the next lot I think I'd prefer them as they were more interactive. The second generation could be scary and a niece got one that seemed to be taken over by Satan. I think they turned it off for quite awhile. Mind you they were one of those toys that would turn on for no reason at night and scare the living daylights out of you. I'm glad that you recovered from the last stage when the mist became toxic. A negative point for me with asthmatics in the family.
I love Jackie because lots of us English Grains aren’t allowed to watch UA-cam at 9:00pm as many American UA-camrs post at that time but Jackie posts at a time where We can watch xx
My daughter wanted one of these but I’ve avoided it because I don’t want to have to find a spot to store the big plastic cauldron but since I’m pretty it’s mainly the idea of making crazy “concoctions” luckily she’s also happy as a lark if I just let her loose with some bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, dishwashing soap, flour and some food colouring (she likes to pretend to be a scientist).
I wonder if the cauldron can be used as a diffuser now. I run one every day, that is how they made the mist. It would be awesome if you could use it that way after the toy popped out.
Gives me hatchimal and furbie vibes but feels like a nice mix. Seems pricey but $50 for an experience like that isn't too bad, although the fog making you cough causes some concern about the effects it is having and it's possible toxicity? Putting that aside though at least it still interacts once you've 'summoned' your creature. Although is there any further use for the cauldron once you've cast the spell?
It's specifically says on the packaging it's non toxic glycerine that makes the smoke, but however can cause issues for asthmatics if directly inhaled. You can use the cauldron without the smoke feature.
@@aysharowe9492 ah I see, I remember her saying there were 2 play modes and one being smokeless but didn't know what caused the smoke, good to know. Thanks.
Personally I think furby falls into a separate category. The only "reveal" with the original was it's name. The rest of the toy was meant to kind of be played with for a long time and treated as a pet. Toys like hatchimal and this thing are built around the reveal. The actual mixie doesn't do much and neither does a hatchimal.
@@strayiggytv true enough. I remember there were lots of games and reactions with a furby whereas this doesn't seem to do as much, it's more the learning aspect that reminded me of the furbys as I remember they were supposed to learn too. To be honest as much as the reveal is magical and wonderful to a younger child I do find it disappointing just how little the toy does once the reveal is over, especially considering the price. Personally I'd much rather have a furby.
I got curious & looked online for any homemade recipes for the mist function & found them. Turns out it's partially made from glycerin. I'd love to see Nerdecrafter try some of these out so folks can see if they actually need to buy the refills or if diy would work.
My favorite thing about this is that you can use the cauldron over and over, so kids can make up their own little spells and get the magic of the lights and sounds and mist. It's just so stinkin cute, and I wish *all* toys had that kind of extended playability!
i got myself one for christmas and absolutely love it! you can even put things in the box to "create" them and they pop up like the doll did, i oddly like the smell of the mist just can't inhale too much lol but overall this is probably the coolest thing i've gotten in a while ♡ loved seeing your thoughts on it!!
I honestly think, even if I was like 8 or 9 my family wouldn't spend the money for that toy. Seems like a waste of hard earned money, love your video Jackie and welcome back from holiday!!
I saw saw about 25 for sale in my local Target store. They are $99 AUD. Yes I'm in Australia 😂😂 My wish was that you uploaded more craft and unboxing videos. ❤️
This was the toy for last Christmas, which meant it was sold out everywhere. Everytime my daughter asked for one I told her I'd try, but probably wouldn't find one. The worst part was that there were so many scalpers selling these for twice the original price
Man this toy had me so intrigued back in december, thank you for trying this out. Also you need more 'crash' and 'smash' sounds for when you throw packaging, that would be fun.
Haha so hyped to see you unboxing one of these in our sub box!! I've already been watching a bunch of vids of it on youtube, so feels great to have one delivered directly to me without having to go hunt for it >u< - p.s i am Steph (surprising, i know!)
That little creature is so cute!! I think I'd buy myself one just for the experience of the mixing in the cauldron & the toy, but I don't think I can justify spending that much for it. Definitely really cute though! I've seen it here in the US anywhere between about $55 - $60.
This seems fun, but it also seems expensive and I don’t want my mom, or anyone to buy it for me (even though my b-day is like 6 days away). But I’ll probably play with it for like maybe a week at best, let it be, and come back to it 3-4 years later (that’s how I am for most of my toys) so I don’t want them wasting money.
Yea, kids only play with stuff like that for maybe a day..it has limited interaction so kids are bound to get bored fast 😅 Only reason they wouldn’t is if they’re just into dolls..they’d turn it off and just use it like a doll for maybe a year or a few before it gets chucked
As a little grain I 100% would have loved this! My mother would have never allowed this "witchcraft" in the house. It didn't stop me from mixing "potions" outside though
When I babysat, the little girl had one of those and you can reset it and buy more of the ‘potions’ I think on amazon. You can also put the furby back in to get the full experience all over again. And you can choose your potions if you reorder them. It was so fun watching her and my daughter play with it.
You can! You can reset it and play with your own ingredients around the house. I would have loved filling this with stuff from the yard and the woods around my house when I was I a kid!
The water reminds me of when I "cooked" as a child.(all I did was add different types of spices that we didn't use into water. Any one like sprinkle, garlic, and mud pasta?)
I’m concerned why Toys R Us is selling this for the price resellers sold it on EBay. It’s $60 USD so should be around 75 Canadian Dollars right? Love your videos.
Um yeah you can put water in it again and I’ll make bubbling sounds and still have the lights and it’ll do the tap tap thing but you can’t put anything else in it or else it might break i mean according to the instructions
By giving you two reds in a row, it did actually make your salt level go up! 🤣 As someone with asthma I felt so bad when the fog was so bad. It’s cute for sure, but at its price level it isn’t something I’d get for my nieces or nephews.
My daughter got hers today for Christmas and she was so happy to have one that was like yours but pink. She named it Cat and when we were making it she warned her grandma to stand back because the mist smells bad. Thank you for the review and for being so kind. P.s. she also got the Super Not Another Crap Kit and is so excited to make a figure
I feel like you and Canadian UA-camr NexJex would get along pretty good. She does toy reviews (for the people buying the toy/collectable)and crafts. This video reminded me of her review of this product. Also thank you for being Awesome!

I think that’s a good thing that they are a little less interactive than furby, I had one of those things and it was totally evil and had mean eyes, this thing is nothing but adorable,
Furby in a bucket, and Furby was horrifying enough without being served up like a stock pot of mystical plushie gumbo...
I agree that it's overpriced, but as a kid I would have used that cauldron forever to make 'potions', no need for refills.
@@ZephariusBe I’m from the US and it was on Amazon for around 30 dollars or so. So seems worth it to me.
Canadian prices are way more then american and the company raised the price for the hoilday toy buying rush
@@LaPetiteDeath that’s crap on toys r us, Walmart lowered their price pre Christmas.
I found one that was about 30$. Should I trust that price?
It reminds of both the Furby from way back, and honestly Gizmo from gremlins, Mogwai? And i would have loved that as a child.
I have several invisible disabilities and they are such a hard thing to deal with sometimes but Jackie you have been an amazing inspiration to me not only to share but to become more of a self advocate and have taken my life back into my own hands. Thank you so much. 💓
Jackie frantically ‘dubbing thee Pumpernickel’ had me rolling! 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
I had to rewatch it ahahahhahaha
💀💀
Did she find it..? You can’t leave us hanging like that 😭

I love to see how in the background Jackie has Moriah Elizabeth’s Pickel the Dinosaur Teddy ❤!
They're poseable! They'rer only flat to fit in there, but they're made like those soft armature pose dolls. =3 The cauldron is also re-usable!
that whole process looked like so much fun. as a kid who tried to make her own magic potions as is, I would have been all over this.
Pumpernikkel didn't work... so Jackie starts hitting it vigerously in the head. I laughed so hard.
Jackie, you are a light in a dark world; your videos have given me free doses of serotonin right when I needed them for so long now and I hope you know you're appreciated for it!
You should watch Maqaroon's video on this toy. She had the fire dept come to her studio, but also made a cool homemade plush inspired by the toy
it is so CUTE❤
I just wanted to let you know that although I've only been watching for half a year or so, I'm disabled and mostly bedridden. You bring such joy to my life and always make me laugh. When you took that mini break over the holidays, I missed you so much. I giggled when I saw your first of the year video pop up and again today, I had a huge smile when you posted another new video. Thank you for being you. 💜
I'm disabled and I know what it is like to be bedridden. Hang in there. Hope your health gets better. ❤️
@Shann Hall-LocmannVanBennekom and @McKenzieEliza1995 -- sending you wishes and thoughts for health, peace and joy!💜🙏
Jackie: “I wish for more salt”
Mixie: No 👎
🤣
Why Mixie said "no"
No👎
Btw I'm not saying the comments bad I'm just saying what mixie said but didn't say
(That sounds confusing😵)
@@mariacatherinedobles2438 cuz yez 👀👉 😌
Moxie: No, you shal not get salt
I hunted one down for my daughter for Christmas. I spent an entire morning repeatedly checking and refreshing my Target app. I was thankfully successful because we loved it! I only had to pay $60 for hers. 😬 What sold me was the fact that you can reload it and buy refill charms to make new (or already loved) friends. 🖤
This one made me laugh so hard when the smoke was causing ISSUES lol
Jackie should try making clay Pokémon!
When you said about seeing the one on the shelf I could relate. Often I have gone without the intention of buying something, but when I see just one and see online it's sold out virtually everywhere, I buy it!
Yes!!! That was me with the logo bonsai tree!
But not for 3 times the price... I mean, come on...
@@NailArtMom Well no as on the shelf it is typically the price it should be...
Love you Jackie I'm glad your health seems to be doing better! You have been dropping videos often and I Love it!!
They have a magic only mode that doesn't have the mist so that those with breathing issues can safely enjoy the toy too thankfully. Hope that helps!💙
THANK FOR SPONSERING BOKKSU
what an adventure unpacking magic mixie
Not gonna lie, as someone who loves magic and adored Furbies growing up, I kind of want this!
IVE SEEN THIS EVERYWHERE AND I WANT ONE AND I DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS WORTH IT THANK YOU JACKIE FOR TRYING IT
I love Jackie because lots of us English Grains aren’t allowed to watch UA-cam at 9:00pm as many American UA-camrs post at that time but Jackie posts at a time where We can watch xx
Why aren't you allowed to watch YT at 9:00 pm? 😲
The video will always be here. It’s not like it disappears.
The magic mix was the best thing I ever got for Christmas out of all Christmas gifts
I’m turning 9 soon and Santa got me one . It’s one of my favorite toys
This creature reminds me of the Furbies in the 90s. They both speak that “alien language” and learn more vocabulary as they age.
Me too!
Ive bought 4 of them, but mine were only 40$ a piece. My daughters found them amusing but to me they where just messy lol.
I got my son one for christmas and the joy he experienced doing the magic was priceless! I love the toy for that reason ❤❤❤
Magic mixes are really fun
Thanks.
Jackie is over dramatic. And coughs at everything
Oh my gosh 🤣 Can you imagine if someone animated this episode? It'd be so adorable and hilarious 🤣😭🥰🤣
I got curious & looked online for any homemade recipes for the mist function & found them. Turns out it's partially made from glycerin.
I'd love to see Nerdecrafter try some of these out so folks can see if they actually need to buy the refills or if diy would work.
BIBBLE?? IS THAT U
I Love Magic Mixes
love this person such a wholesome lady got me through some bad times
Oh wow Jackie, as much as I enjoyed watching you brewing the mixie, I was rly worried for a second when you coughed so hard.
I love how Jackie refers herself in the 3rd person when she talks about SaltECrafter!
I saw saw about 25 for sale in my local Target store. They are $99 AUD. Yes I'm in Australia 😂😂
My wish was that you uploaded more craft and unboxing videos. ❤️
Even kmart had them before Christmas for the same price. Yes Australia too! 👋
@@Jasminiag even Toys are us on line still have them. No sure they sold that well over here.
Jackie you should have tapped it with the front of the wand because it is magnetic😊❤
Jacky : panics
Also Jacky : " I dub thee pumpernickel 😂
This was the toy for last Christmas, which meant it was sold out everywhere. Everytime my daughter asked for one I told her I'd try, but probably wouldn't find one. The worst part was that there were so many scalpers selling these for twice the original price
Man this toy had me so intrigued back in december, thank you for trying this out. Also you need more 'crash' and 'smash' sounds for when you throw packaging, that would be fun.
Haha so hyped to see you unboxing one of these in our sub box!!
I've already been watching a bunch of vids of it on youtube, so feels great to have one delivered directly to me without having to go hunt for it >u<
- p.s i am Steph (surprising, i know!)
I hope you do a video on it too
Officially not surprised- give Huggos to adamo
I lost it at "I dub thee Pumpernickel! " 😂😂😂
Seems fun! I like that it has steps, children will have a nice experience with these types of toys, reasonable price too.
That little creature is so cute!! I think I'd buy myself one just for the experience of the mixing in the cauldron & the toy, but I don't think I can justify spending that much for it. Definitely really cute though! I've seen it here in the US anywhere between about $55 - $60.
Huh I've never heard of this before. Looks cute. I always look forward to your videos during the week. Hope you're doing well!
Me: enjoying the most
Also my athsmatic ass: I feel you Jackie.
Jackie: "Now you make a wish"
Me: "I wish for a million friends in rec room"
Jackie: "And it's a yes"
Me: "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" *Knocks over lamp*
This seems fun, but it also seems expensive and I don’t want my mom, or anyone to buy it for me (even though my b-day is like 6 days away). But I’ll probably play with it for like maybe a week at best, let it be, and come back to it 3-4 years later (that’s how I am for most of my toys) so I don’t want them wasting money.
I think it would end up on the shelf, next to the Hatchimal that's gathering dust.
I see a bunch either at thrift stores or in the landfill.
I love all the little noises they make. It's like a furby but not as terrifying 😂
When I babysat, the little girl had one of those and you can reset it and buy more of the ‘potions’ I think on amazon. You can also put the furby back in to get the full experience all over again. And you can choose your potions if you reorder them. It was so fun watching her and my daughter play with it.
ima very big fan of ur youtube channel
This looks like something my daughter would have loved for about 30 mins when she was 6 lol
Watching Jackie torture herself getting stuff from Tiktok is the best thing to do 😌
That first one was really intricate. Makes me wanna do ityself, smell or not! 🤩
Edit: would be even better if I could reuse that cauldron.
You can! You can reset it and play with your own ingredients around the house. I would have loved filling this with stuff from the yard and the woods around my house when I was I a kid!
It was extremely adorable
You somehow all ways make me smile
Hi Jackie! I'm a huge fan, me and my dad watch every video. I hope sika is okay! Lovely content and keep up the good work
Love gia 💜
The water reminds me of when I "cooked" as a child.(all I did was add different types of spices that we didn't use into water. Any one like sprinkle, garlic, and mud pasta?)
I’m concerned why Toys R Us is selling this for the price resellers sold it on EBay. It’s $60 USD so should be around 75 Canadian Dollars right?
Love your videos.
They’re super fun
I can't decide if I want to get this for myself or for my blind sister would freaking adore it...
I don't know if somebody has mentioned this yet, but you can also reuse the cauldron and even hide surprises inside
There’s a mode to turn off the smoke for people sensitive to that stuff apparently! which is really neat :)
I love how she said ok it’s not working: as she continues to slap it with the wand
Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 tan
My daughter got hers today for Christmas and she was so happy to have one that was like yours but pink. She named it Cat and when we were making it she warned her grandma to stand back because the mist smells bad. Thank you for the review and for being so kind.
P.s. she also got the Super Not Another Crap Kit and is so excited to make a figure
I love the viral Tik Tok trends vids. You rock Jackie!
I feel like you and Canadian UA-camr NexJex would get along pretty good. She does toy reviews (for the people buying the toy/collectable)and crafts. This video reminded me of her review of this product. Also thank you for being Awesome!
I think they do know eachother, though perhaps have not met in person. I agree that they would probably get along well!
My cousins wanted this for xmas but everyone in the family was totally convinced it was cheap plastic rubbish. I have to agree.
i love magic mixies
