Question you can help me and others. What is the best way to photograph refractor cards or items that have a reflection? thank you from the rockstarflipper fans
@@RockstarFlipper Thank you. i have struggled with this for hours tonight but did decent job with the black painted card board with phone camera cut out idea. but def need to upgrade for the best quality with refrector cards.
I'll say this regarding returns : you can still do just fine as a seller moving items well without accepting returns. I've never accepted returns and gross sell $25K-$30K per year as a 250 item small store (side hobby) income thing.
Thanks for your input. But I am a new Ebay reseller and I am trying to build up my store. The thing is that they say that you need to list more and more everyday. As I am new to this, dont have much money to source product ( which means not much listing ) . how can I build up my store so that my items sell every day. I also want to do it part time as I have a full time job. The only time I can go out thrifting to find products is on weekends . Any tips please? Also I am worried if I start buying these items, they will only take up space in my home . How did you start part time and build ?
@@sergiobutron5613 yes, buyer who know how to scam the system will say your item is broken and ebay will force a return at your expense. That said I've only had it happen twice in 1700 sales. Other sellers who take returns say they have several returns a month, I say I'll pay the $15 twice in 7 years to avoid that headache. lol
I accept returns but I have the customer pay for shipping. I used to do free return shipping for many years but then people started misusing it by buying the item, using it and the sending it back when they are done. It’s one thing if you ordered the wrong item but to misuse the system, shame on you.
the out of stock defect is pretty severe it should be revised by eBay because sometimes we can lose our items or we can put a wrong number on the available quantity field that can happens we are humans not robots I think eBay should revise this defect
Absolutely be careful with cancelling orders. I was in the middle of a move and could not find multiple items that I sold and in ignorance I cancelled about 4 orders I believe. I had been on ebay since 1998 with over 1,500 100% positive feedbacks. Well I was placed "below standard" and at imminent risk of losing my account permanently. I calculated how many transactions without issues that I needed to get above standard and devised a way to solve the problem within a week. I had a bunch of silver content dimes that I inherited so I basically sold them for pennies each. It cost me about $250-$500 value (poor memory) in silver dimes but I was "above standard" the next time my account was evaluated. Back then I was selling thousands of dollars on ebay so a one time hit like that to be able to continue selling on ebay was reasonable.
That happened to me in the beginning. I sold a diamond ring right away. I was excited about it but they hadn't paid. I was so ignorant at first at everything. Finally I messaged them about paying and they message back saying they're waiting on me to send them my account info, or wanted me to think they're unable to pay until I send this. At least I wasn't THAT ignorant 😆
Thank you so much brother! For all of us starting our Ebay journey, I aplaud you good sir. Salutations & many blessings to you & your family all the way from here in SouthSide Chicago 🥂✨
Thanks for the tips Flip..!!!! I now have 47 feedback... My suggestion is to become a "Top-Rated" eBay seller.. Since I have been Top Rated my sales have increased significantly...
I was looking at the promoting options this morning In the uk and I think they have put the price up. To promote was around £2 and if it doesn't sell still have to pay
Hi - as a private seller selling a huge variety of items what would you say is a good percentage for promotions I have never done them before & have been selling for 10 years! Thanks & PS excellent video.
Another great video!! I highly recommend all resellers watch this one. I have been reselling for years and after watching this video I will be promoting a few listings. Thank You!!
I had a death in the family and forgot to put in that I was away. I came back to a low shipping score. I was able to get the percentage high again by offering a bunch of cheap coins for a couple bucks. Sold lots and my score went up.
@@RockstarFlipper Hmm, OK. Something to look into before starting… Was going to start with the personal ebay platform before moving to the business model. Get some practice in… PO Box only makes sense. Thank you for the reply! Great content!
No moans and groans here. All good stuff. I used most of those tips in the last week including number 11. Number 11 is my favorite one actually even though I rarely have to use it.
Agree with all of this especially the returns and promoted listings coming to ebay from poshmark I was already used to paying 20% so the promoted listings don't end up being anymore than that
What do you mean there’s no way out of returns? I make like $3k-$5k a month as a side hustle and haven’t accepted returns for six years. Maybe it’s different if it’s a full time job but I’m good with no returns
BUY IT NOW... Do NOT use auctions.. People don't want to wait 7 days to MAYBE get an item.. they want their items and they want them now. They were trained by Amazon for speed. And 82% of all ebay items are buy it now. Auctions for rare/unique items every once in a blue moon
No 1 tip was best offer- so many new sellers use auction (it's also 'exciting') whereas if you research prices and put ups great ad a little cheaper than the max, your item will sell and you'll get max return. If you're going with auction make sure it finishes Sunday night. An ending at 3am is just going to get gone really cheap (and is ideal for sniping if you're buying).
Hey do you guys keep best offer on when you run a sale? Whenever I do I always get an offer rather than them using the coupon. Just curious what ya all do 😊
But consider the alternatives. You can sell it at a garage sale or facebook marketplace to someone for maybe 5$ if you are lucky. Or, you could rent a booth at a local shop and sell it 15 but pay rent and commission.

How do you use sold comps?
How do you "use" them? You go to ebay, click on SOLDS and check what things are selling for
