  • Paul Zig travels on his 2020 V-Strom 650 from the northeastern United States to western Canada to tour the Canadian Rockies including the Banff, Jasper, and Yoho national parks. He travels across the top of Lake Superior on his way west through the five western Canadian provinces.
Paul motorcycle camps in a two person tent on his journey and shares his experiences in both municipal, state, provincial, and national campgrounds.
In this episode, Paul visits both the Banff and Jasper National Parks, travels north along the entire length of the Icefields Parkway, and visits a number of beautiful attractions including Herbert Lake, Peyto Lake, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, Waterfowl Lake, Bridal Veil Falls, the Wilcox Pass, the Mistaya River, and the Columbia Icefield. He stays the night at the Wabasso Campground in the Jasper National Park.

@davidsanderson1891 Thanks for catching up Dave! I added ND filters to my camera gear which significantly helps the raw footage in bright sunshine. During post production I sometimes make minor adjustments to the saturation control and contrast to hopefully improve the visual aesthetic and make the various clips consistent. The camera does a great job in bright sunshine and only needs a bit of correction on cloudy days. I am not a color expert by any stretch of the imagination but keep trying to learn! Regards Paul

@jimschiess2138 Hi Jim. I left shortly before Labor Day and returned at the end of September. My long distance trips (4 corners tour, 48 state completion tour, eastern Canada tour, and museum ship tour) are often while schools are in session which makes getting camping spots much easier though the weather can sometimes be more challenging. I hope that helps. Good luck with your planning and thanks for watching! Regards Paul
