One Greg's most beautiful songs! I loved all his ballads. That voice of his was like listening to an angel singing from heaven and for me personally, I thought and still do that he was one of the most gorgeous men I've ever seen when he was young. I remember watching ELP at the California Jam in 1974 which was televised and then finding that video years later and being inspired by Greg to learn guitar. I’m so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I can’t fathom the pain. But there are people who you are close with, and people you’ve never met like myself, that sympathize with you and want the best for you.
I read your reply about the loss of your daughter. My heart goes out to you. It is the worse thing a parent has to go through. Sadly you are not alone. There are many mothers out there who have lost a child, myself included. My son was age 17 when he was killed by a drunk driver. It is something that a mother never gets over but has to learn to live with it. My breath was taken away each time I thought of him. I would grab my chest and hold it trying to protect it from the God awful pain. It was so hard when it happened. I just wanted to crawl into his casket and be with him, but I had my daughter and husband to worry about. They talk about hell being below us. It is not. Hell is right here and now. Once again....so sorry that another Mother went through a terrible tragedy.
What I am about to write is for everyone who has loved someone dearly, lost them from this physical life and miss them deeply beyond words - My beautiful heart Aunt Carle, who had lost her amazing and delightful 15 year old son, Nelson, to leukemia, once wrote these words to me in a letter - "Someone sent me a card shortly after he died and the words impressed me so they will be with me until I die and I would like to share them with you - 'Remembered joy can break the heart. But who, even on the darkest day, would choose to have missed the joy.' And this is how I survive remembering the joy he gave us." She wrote these words to me as part of a heartfelt letter on November 29, 1980. It was 6 days after I had turned off my wife's life support system as a result of her being hit by a car in a pedestrian accident. Debbie was 27 and I was almost 26 at the time. We had been together a total of 10 years beginning in high school. My Aunt Carle's profound words in her letter are still with me to this day, more than 40 years later. She is now a delightful and healthy 90 year old who I love dearly. I refer to her as "my Mother Teresa!" Our remembered loved ones are still a cherished part of both of our hearts. We do believe that LOVE TRULY IS FOREVER!
Of the many concerts and live shows back in the Golden Era of Rock n Roll... this is one band that I never got to see..... They were Mystical and Wonderful!!!

What I am about to write is for everyone who has loved someone dearly, lost them from this physical life and miss them deeply beyond words -
My beautiful heart Aunt Carle, who had lost her amazing and delightful 15 year old son, Nelson, to leukemia, once wrote these words to me in a letter - "Someone sent me a card shortly after he died and the words impressed me so they will be with me until I die and I would like to share them with you - 'Remembered joy can break the heart. But who, even on the darkest day, would choose to have missed the joy.' And this is how I survive remembering the joy he gave us."
She wrote these words to me as part of a heartfelt letter on November 29, 1980.
I refer to her as "my Mother Teresa!"
Our remembered loved ones are still a cherished part of both of our hearts. We do believe that LOVE TRULY IS FOREVER!
