I love when they do call backs to the Mountain scene. In GMK, Godzilla's first full appearance in daylight is also standing over a mountain looking down on his victims.
This could've been in minus one and it would not have looked out of place at all! Seriously! This just proves how beautiful and awesome this version if Godzilla was by being the perfect remake of the original 1954 masterpiece! This is amazing, spectacular, astounding, and judt well done! The fact that the roar sounds so broken just adds to how deeply these two gojis are connected!!! I didn't even realize how Noriko falling in the street was so similar to this scene! 🤯

No need for that. The original is perfection in every way despite is technical limitations. No need to destroy masterpieces. I guess you are one of those who were glad Lucas redone and modified the original SW trilogy to be more colorful and stupid.
I love the edit...but to be quite frank: the original shot always looks the best, even though it's a puppet. It's real, not CGI. It's organic, not digital magic. It's physical presence makes it all the more real, and thus more frightening. Plus, the older design of Godzilla was just far more disturbing, rather than awe-inspiring...which is why it works the best, IMO.
It's also that specific demonic roar when he's in intimidation or attack mode. You can hear it's slightly different from the roars used in the opening credit. More brief but much louder.
I still like the original more even if its a puppet its the most iconic scene in Godzilla history because its his very first appearance on screen in history

Хочу весь фильм таким. Годзилла -1.0 неплохой фильм про людей, послевоенная драма, которая бы намного интересней смотрелась без Годзиллы вообще. У Годзиллы слишком мало экранного времени, интересно смотреть только его атаку на город в середине фильма... всего 7 минут.

No real need for that, IMHO -- Godzilla - 1.0 is in a sense the original Godzilla redone with modern F/X and sensibility.

ゴジラのモチーフは水爆のキノコ雲ですからね。
初代リアルタイムで見てた世代とかでは全然ないので、思い出補正とかはないと思うんだけど、
純粋に「恐怖」という意味では、やっぱ初代の左右非対称な感じとか、顎がズレてる感じとか、目の焦点のあってない感じとか歪な肌の質感とかのほうが「怖い」と感じる。
デザイン的にマイゴジは「令和にデザインされた洗練した感じ」というか、なんかそういうのを感じてしまうんだよな‥‥。
初代のほうが怪物感が強いですね
時代が進むごとに洗礼されていくのはいいけど作り物の印象が勝ってしまう

当たり前と言えば当たり前ですが、オリジナルの方が画面設計がしっかりされていて説得力がある気がします。
こういう動画を通して初めて見えてくることもあるので、勉強になります。
