What’s the difference? What would you consider that void state of consciousness where all there is is awareness? Hell? Heaven? The chasm between the two?
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews9:27-28
I was always taught that that it was body,Soul&spirit…. Body is like the shell the soul is the mind will and emotion & the spirit is what goes back to the lord
Fascinating perspective about the earthy smelling soul going through Hell untill the smell burns off around 17:00. Coming from a Catholic background that's very much like the Church's teaching about purgatory. The souls in purgatory are destined for Heaven, not Hell, but still have attachments to sin. They need to go through a purification which is described as a consuming fire. It's fascinating because purgatory is not a teaching of other Christian denominations. The reason given by the apologists is that the foundation for the teaching is in writings, 2nd Maccabees in particular, that are not included in the Protestant cannon but which Catholics and Jews share in their Bibles.
@@jamessilver6429 You're right. That was an assumption I made out of ignorance. I figured since Maccabees also contained the story that is the basis of Chanukah, it surely must be canon. I understand now that it's apocryphal in Judaism.
Only through the mercy of the Almighty will souls be forgiven. Read the final revelation the Holy Quran revealed to the final prophet Muhammad peace b You him.
The question of wether there is life after death makes perfect sense. It basically asks if you as a soul will keep on living and yes you will. That’s what people want to know. God breathed in man the breath of life to give life to the soul in the body. Thus the life and soul are infused as one apart from the body after death. The question makes perfect sense.
In my understanding of Quran, when the soul releases from the body (when someone dies) then he will continues live but with 3 different ways. First, going back to the place near heaven and get rewarded with happy and good life. Second, going to the place where he stays there with sad & regret feeling because of what he had done in his life until judgement day; and Third, going to a place where he neither happy or sad feeling, sleep there until judgement day.
“Does having greater liberty or freedom curtail your physical existence? No. That’s a cynical remark that assumes if given the freedom, you’ll make a selfish or destructive choice. Actually, accumulating wealth gives you the freedom and resources to enhance your physical existence as well as elevate your soul, by helping others and fulfilling your life's purpose on Earth. i.e. making this planet a haven of love, laughter, and learning.
I’m a non-Jew who enjoys Rabbi Friedman’s lectures and I’ve been studying Judaism purely out of self interest. A big question I have is understanding the difference between reincarnation vs resurrection. It seems most Jews (including Friedman) believe in both. If our souls reincarnate and have many lives, which body resurrects at “end of days” (aharit hayamim)?? The body from the last life? First? Best? How does the resurrection occur? A cataclysmic flash and appears? Or a rebirth like normal? What age is our body? Young? Old? What’s the big difference between being reincarnated vs resurrected? The resurrection details still seem rather vague. Again, I’m just curious and would like to know what most Jews generally think!
I come from Northern Minnesota (white earth rez by Bagley, MN) and I totally enjoy your explanations. I did not know the truth of Torah...I was a Lutheran. Then in 1998 I died in Seattle...the world of absolute Truth revealed provided a gigantic awakening of enlightenment. I am now, I think, the only Minnesota Tribes Orthodox Jew living in Israel. Keep up the good work you're doing. The power of a idea is measured directly by the resistance it meets! Thank you...

The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs 8Then I looked and saw a pale horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth. 9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld. 10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”…Revelation 6:9
On the resurrections we are going to have a new body because the old one was corrupted and destroyed because of the sin. But our spirit is the one we will have with new thoughts and we won't remember the past but we will be a new creature.
And that ... “it takes time to prepare a soul to be born” - this time next year! (12 month) - “1-3 month before a soul is ready” and that “death is when our timespan (days) runs out!” Plain logic.

Emotion comes as a result of how we think , so basically it is a brain fart. But we feel it and it seams to be real, even if it is not. We also have feelings, that express our human needs and those are real and worth to pay attention and have awareness about. There is nothing sacred (technically untouchable), that people couldn't screw up. But, if we choose to keep some things sacred like family, friendships ... then we will have the way we keep it.
The Call of Jeremiah 4The word of the LORD came to me, saying: 5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you a prophet to the nations.” 6“Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I surely do not know how to speak, for I am only a child!”… God knows us before we are conceived, and a man or women killers Gods Child in the womb we are the steward of that child to give it excellent instruction for God and bring the child into this world for God and to exercise his or her free will.
The “soul” is best described as an ecosystem. I think people conflate the word “soul” with the word “spirit.” They’re two very different things. Our BODY is a soul because it’s the combination of mundane matter and spiritual matter.
Leviticus 17:14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: “for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof”: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.
So I interpret this, as we get older we get more decayed because our soul struggles with the beauty of holiness. And on our journey on this earth we just pick up whether we want to or not the decay. Probably one of the best ways to keep our soul and more perfection is to say the morning and evening prayers. And to keep our mind on HaShem is to try to say are hundred blessings every day. It’s a way of keeping our soul from becoming tainted by this earthly realm. I really do appreciate these thoughts. Toda Raba
If I eat pork I could die! After a year of seeing,a naturopath he said I had the worse allergy to pork he ever saw. I suffer the day the temple was destroyed I didn't know what the day was, but I ended up at a Hasidic bookstore and yelled what is wrong with me! The men there said! " We have to force our self to suffer but you are given the true suffering from Hashem.
For the sake of argument, who made Satan to do the dirty work? Because if you say he was an angel, Angels do not make mistakes because they dont have feelings and dont have a free will to do whatever they want. Satan on the hand was created from the hell fire and serving like an angel until human being created.

Hi i really learning from rabbi a lot , he making senses .
Judaism ✡️ is beautiful, never negative, always explained in a positive way, never a dull moment.
Thanks Rabbi.
Judaism is a bankrupt religion with nothing left to offer. The Old Covenant age of Torah has been fulfilled and we are now in the New Covenant age of the church, guided by the Spirit.í
Have you read the Talmud because that isn't beautiful not all rabbi's are like this teacher the Talmud teaches very ugly things
This is an awesome sermon!!! The people of G-d - - the people I love!!!
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to ELOHIM who gave it.
Isaiah 1:31
The strong man will become tinder and his work will be a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the flames.
Isaiah 34:10
It will not be quenched--day or night. Its smoke will ascend forever. From generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.
Isaiah 66:24
24 “And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”
Daniel 12:2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
12:2 Daniel is harsh , and it is man once again saying what he thinks will or will not happen after death.
@@duantorruellas716 Daniel was a prophet of God and every word in the Bible are God's words. His prophecies are always fulfilled with 100% accuracy. Daniel tells of the days we live in now and the four great kingdom's that ruled the earth and the last leader is a man whom Satan enters at the beginning of the soon coming 7 year Tribulation. That man then becomes the dreaded Antichrist and he will deceive the unsaved people of the world with his Mark of the Beast aka the RFID chip with all your info on It. Pope Francis aka the False Prophet of Revelation. He will be the sidekick of the Antichrist, and this evil duo rule the world for the 7 year Trib. It will be a One World Government system aka the NWO,led by the Antichrist from the EU aka the Revived Roman Empire and One World Religion. Will be run by Pope Francis aka The False Prophet.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to its earth, from which it was, and the spirit returns to God, who granted it.

It is a very good step under heavens to help your generation to understand the real existence of THE SUPREME LORD GOD.
It is an action that could not be over emphasized.
It is a glorious effort unto the LORD GOD OF HOSTS and a blessing to human race.
Thank you dear rabbai, have been in and out of faith in God,l believe its more because of what I have learnt about God. l realise those knowledge learnt about God,Somehow its wrong..being feeling so lost ..got searching that brought me here..now my soul don't feel so hopeless..
I enjoy listening to the Rabbi. Salvation comes from the Jews. God used them to extend His Hand to the rest of the world.. I am a Christian because of the Jewish Nation...
“Where does life go when it leaves the body?” This is the proper question!
What’s the difference? What would you consider that void state of consciousness where all there is is awareness? Hell? Heaven? The chasm between the two?
@David Miles Both Heaven and Hell- you be rich. I was able to afford airfare to only 1 of those places.
David Miles either way they’re all part of the same entity (consciousness) and we’re all it
@David Miles Did you feel fear in hell and no fear in heaven .
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."
Hebrews9:27-28
I'm going to walk the way I walk no matter what unless something gets broken.
Thank you for this teaching, be blessed ❤
Perhaps we are all simply learning how to listen to H-m!
Shana tova a metucka Thank you for your teaching. one year closer to Moshiach . 5782.
This story about the girl that died is beautiful.
Other than that about Hell, I also really like the way he explains the views of God & Life. God bless him...
I was always taught that that it was body,Soul&spirit…. Body is like the shell the soul is the mind will and emotion & the spirit is what goes back to the lord
Thank you Rabbi Friedman
Yahshua Hamashiach lives so as long as he lives, we will always live. Amen
Please listen to Tenak Talk Rabbi Tobia Singer or Rabbi Michael Skobak at jews for Judaism on youtube
The reason given by the apologists is that the foundation for the teaching is in writings, 2nd Maccabees in particular, that are not included in the Protestant cannon but which Catholics and Jews share in their Bibles.
maccabbees isn't in thejewish bible. as far as iknow its considered valid but its not part of the biblical canon
Read the final revelation the Holy Quran revealed to the final prophet Muhammad peace b
You him.
I believe that the body return to dust and the spirit return to God who gave it as the b Bible says JT
If we are bodies with souls it seems will forever be connected and will go back to the collective.
I will tell you, after death there is judgment of the person which begins in the grave, and after in the highest world (hell or heaven).
Good teaching Rabi
In my understanding of Quran, when the soul releases from the body (when someone dies) then he will continues live but with 3 different ways. First, going back to the place near heaven and get rewarded with happy and good life. Second, going to the place where he stays there with sad & regret feeling because of what he had done in his life until judgement day; and Third, going to a place where he neither happy or sad feeling, sleep there until judgement day.
It's all alot of BS.
@@ORWELL_USA it is BS, when you talk something which has no support from reference.
☺☺☺☺
Would a dead man call himself dead
(Nope) he would say ...I was flesh and now I am light
Maybe he know knows ... Maybe he have that s separation is near .....many a options...
There is always Divine Intervention. Just look back in a persons life. It does make walking through life easier not easy for sure.
Wonderful teacher!
Absolutely fantastic. Thank you rabbi . שבוע טוב וחודש טוב ומבורך ושנה טובה ומתוקה.
Hi I am not a jew and I thanks Hachem for jews it’s amazing a real miracle the hand of god has to be and this after 3000 years Jews are still Jews and lm glad because other ways the truth of the real God Hachem will be lost for ever isn’t that amazing God is great. Amen

The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs
8Then I looked and saw a pale horse.

Entitlement from pride will never = Peace. Pride is self focus above others and takes away from empathy.
What if a soul needs empathy from it's self to continue providing empathy for others?
"Dust you are and unto dust you shall return." There is no mention anywhere in the Bible of an afterlife or an immortal soul.
Blessed be the name. Thank you for this lesson on life and existence. Shalom.
I thank you from heart for all your talks
On the resurrections we are going to have a new body because the old one was corrupted and destroyed because of the sin. But our spirit is the one we will have with new thoughts and we won't remember the past but we will be a new creature.
you just described reincarnation.

The Call of Jeremiah
4The word of the LORD came to me, saying: 5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you a prophet to the nations.” 6“Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I surely do not know how to speak, for I am only a child!”… God knows us before we are conceived, and a man or women killers Gods Child in the womb we are the steward of that child to give it excellent instruction for God and bring the child into this world for God and to exercise his or her free will.
The “soul” is best described as an ecosystem. I think people conflate the word “soul” with the word “spirit.” They’re two very different things. Our BODY is a soul because it’s the combination of mundane matter and spiritual matter.
I am muslim i like the way he explain, body soul
Leviticus 17:14
For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: “for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof”: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.
Talent multipled by His grace.
Toda Raba
love this Rabbi
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Hell for 11 or 12 months? Who said that? What time means to a soul?
exactly 11-12 months can be an eternity
True regret and remorse will determine how long.
Thank. U
"You will have a child this time next year".
