the part where the movie's title is name dropped is perfectly choreographed. the way she says it, the specific part of the song playing in the background, and the mute flashback scene. it shook me to my core. genuinely beautiful.

I've been fighting for months to get over my ex. But the reality is I don't want to.
After watching this I feel he erased me, like clem erased Joel.

Joel keeps trying to keep her memory in his brain, even though she erased him, without a warning. He would eventually have to forget her anyway, since for him he knows she is a complete stranger now. But he still fights it
I don't want to forget my ex, its difficult to accept, that even though he erased me I still love him
And that's ok
I rewatched to see in which point Joel changes his mind. The fact that the movie puts different scenes without chronological order makes u miss information like that.
Is jealousy it? When he starts wondering about the guy clementine is seeing after she got her memory erased. He hears him in his room while he is asleep and wonders how he is so close to clementine, finding out the other guy Is using moments they had in their relationship against them
It is fine to remember your ex, but the important thing is that that feeling does not take over you, try to focus your mind on something else and perhaps in due course open your heart for another person who knows how to value the beautiful person that I know you are. ❤️

Everybodys Got to Learn Sometime is their song, the first time it plays in the movie its being played on a mixtape. Throughout the movie you hear it being played distorted because it's being deleted. There is also one or two parts where you can hear it playing in the background of their house.
I wish Jim Carrey had taken more serious roles, he’s such an amazing actor.
