Do you think that this season there will be less difference between having or not having the expansion? I ended up leaving Season 6 because the difference between builds with and without the expansion was abysmal, and I'm worried about this new season.
It will be partially the same. The seasonal buffs will be there but there will be things that you simply cannot do without the expansion. It won’t be fully confirmed until the season comes out but you can expect to see vessel of hatred things in the seasonal journey. I’m blanking on the names because I’ve been playing other games but there are two new dungeon styles that will most likely be on the journey. In the early tiers this may not be a problem but in the later tiers of the journey it may make them difficult or even impossible to complete. As for the difference between builds, I didn’t watch the live stream so I can’t say with certainty but as far as I have read all rune words are still locked behind the expansion. So because they are part of the balance equation any build you make will feel at least a little underpowered in the late game. Which makes sense, they are part of the code for VOH on the client side so people without the expansion will likely never have access to them.
Does not needing to complete the class quest anymore only apply if you have a character from S6 that has completed the quest? Or even a character from earlier seasons?
I'll probably get a late start to the season due to work and getting a new computer running. If someone knows what Necro is getting in the cache please comment. I loved in D3 that they told us what set Haedrig's Gift would be. A bit surprised two days before we don't know what we are getting.
@elijahpolachek8201 all of them. You should be able to play any build without huge drop-offs between different builds and classes and the ones that fall short has the least amount of builds actually viable in t4. I'm sure we'll see what sucks soon. Druid was ass last season hated it
Hollow, question.. last two seasons as we did the theme it self and the season journey we got uniques and class uniques.. i got very lucky on my necro by lvl 27 and got a mendle ring and the sac ring as well.. lol i was minion blood forever it seemed i found both had uses but in the end .. at what lvl would you stop using the mendle ring peroid? and that said will this season see a return of reward uniques and class uniques?
Im obviously not Hollow but with minions getting even more benefit from player stats Mendeln is only going to be stronger this season, it was also one of the strongest builds last season since they changed it to scale with minion damage bonuses. So unless you’re planning to run something other than a minion build, there is a good chance you won’t stop using it. Can’t say anything in regards to the rewards question though.

One thing I gotta say…. The fact there is no helper / mercs to aid you in battle for POE2 is insane to me. How can a game like this not have people you can hire to help you fight? That’s just insane. Also the gear…. POE2 for sure has the most boring gear I have ever seen. It’s down right pathetic
There is an inkling of a basic skill build brewing. Reap has gotten big enough bonuses that it leads me to believe they are setting up a future build. You’re right though currently they useless past level 20.
This game is absolute dog shit. I played in S4 when the gear was dropping all stats for all characters and had an Overpowered Bloodsurge Necro that I focused willpower and Overpower stacking. Then the changed the stats to force you into your “class specific” stat so I only find intelligence gear and can’t actually mess around with different builds and set ups.

hate to tell ya this but there will almost always be a big dif in builds between non expac and expac players they want you to buy the expansion

I used this leveling up most of the campaign. It definitely is very handy. Especially playing co-op as the 2nd player can pop the orbs also
