I had the privilege and honor to be in the same arena as Chris in Oklahoma. He was riding the horses and I was on the bulls. Didn’t really know him back then but I miss him today. I’m well into my 60s now and my body don’t work like it used to. But his songs and the memories will live on.
You can always tell the singers that wrote stories from their lives vs the generic tracks. Billy Joe Shaver was another singer/songwriter that lived the songs he made.
15 Years now. Losin’ Chris still hurts. And I miss the Western Underground. Still proud Chris held out to get them into the studio for his first Nashville record! Think about that! I know BANDS that didn’t hold out for their own members! Of all the men, Chris was THE man!
Hi everyone, I'm from Panama born and raised but being in raised in a farm with cowboys and rodeo, when I listened to Chris Ledoux became my favorite country singer, last week I went to his son's country concert and I was so moved how similar is to his dad, Chris ledoux you are still alive in the life of every real country fan. You raised a great man which is Ned ledoux, I would never get tired of his music, thank you all, thank you Chris Ledoux, good ride cowboy
Boys if you even knew... what he was what he meant to Young cowboys can't even tell you!!!! Cowboy of cowboys , cowboys vaqueros don't matter where he came from was a man of men can't tell you how much I love watching him can't tell you how much the songs inspired that's coming from a beat up old cowboy....,..
The Good Lord took Chris to soon, but its all in His plan. However, I sure do miss Ledouxs honest and heart felt music. "Cowboy even though you took God's call It left a hole in us all".
Show me a radio station that plays songs like this and I will tune into it a glue the knob so it can't be moved. RIP Chris LeDoux country music needs you back. I hope to hear you sing in Heaven!
Mountain County out of Colorado Springs. Independently owned and plays Chris and dirt County all the time. They have an app so you can listen anywhere.
96.3 in Wickenburg Arizona plays a lot of Chris. I met him once when I was in high school by pure accident. I will never forget what he said. "If you fall off, Get back on and conquer it". That sticks like glue
miss the high school & college rodeo days, riding from rodeo to rodeo & jamming Chris Ledoux ALL the way!!! Best cowboy poet to ever put in song!! nobody will ever be able to hold a candle to Ledoux!!!
Never enjoyed dancing so much as when that special girl danced with me to this song, it rocked my world. My heart leaps with joy every time i hear this song.
Saw him in a bar/country dance hall (very interment setting) in Montana just before he got really big. Holy God he was good. What a show. Pyro technics and everything. He played for at least 2 1/2 hours and was as friendly as can be. Out back of the bar was a motorhome and a horse trailer that him and the band traveled in. I will never forget that show as it was one of the best concerts I have seen. RIP Mr. Ledoux, you are missed by an army of adoring fans.
Been a long time since you were taken from us, I still love you and your music and miss you! Ned’s keeping us in plenty of the old songs though! Proud to see him do it and I know that you are smiling too!! Miss You, Cowboy!
Hey all: Chris Ledoux is one of my all time favorite singer/song writers in any genre of music. Was a sad day when we lost him but his music will live on. As Garth Brooks said: God bless Chris Ledoux!!! Amen
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!!!
When Chris died we lost a library of cowboy and rodeo stories, some never told. I wish there was a way to record all of our stories and keep them safe for future generations to learn from and to enjoy.
I still have and listen to the early music that didn't really get played a lot. However I believe that they were some of Chris's best. I listen to the old and the newer music and Absolutely LOVE everything this man sang. I believe. his son is also doing a great job. I'm sure Chris would be proud. God Bless Chris LeDoux! I miss you Chris.
Angela Houtz, the stuff that didn't get payed like Strawberry Roan and Bareback Jack? Re-Ride and Caballo Diablo? That stuff? The uncommercialized stuff that he was selling to make it from one rodeo to the next. I love all his music but, his early stuff has more feeling, in my opinion.
Thanks so much for supporting my music 🎼 I’m so greatful 🥰 and I hope you never stop being fun, I would like to honor you by giving you my personal information if that’s okay by you........
Watching the NFR in Las Vegas, and many of the other rodeos nowadays, I wish they would drop the heavy metal and hard rock songs, and play real Cowboy and Western music, like Chris LeDoux and Ian Tyson.
