Love your appreciation of Schuetzen and Germanic rifles/target shooting. My family always made a point to remind me of my German heritage, so once I got into muzzleloading I felt like I was picking up a pastime that was very "genetically familiar".
A real purposefully built tool/toy !!! having something like this in the ole gun cabinet , would make one want to schedule some weekend time to spend with it !!! picnic , drinks & all !!!
Ethan, That barrel looks like it has 'flat rifling' instead of the lands and grooves. It does have a twist but bullets are made just for that barrel for a very tight fit. I saw a rifle with that type on CapandBall channel. It was insanely accurate.
Hi, I am from Germany and some of my friends from the shooting range have such a rifle. We shoot on about 55 yards of hand and a realy good shooter can get 140 out of 150 and the bulls eye is ten actualy. The current german champion had 149 last year. I am not even close with 130 on a good day 🤣
I like that this presenter shows proper respect by wearing gloves.

We call it murdering paper here when shooting paper targets.
Target shooting with flintlocks is good fun.
One word. Beautiful

Nice one Ethan.
Or the gorgeous piece of History. I really wish I knew how to do intricate carvings like that. Gorgeous
That was a fine looking rifle Ethan glad you shared it with the class
Lovely precision offhand target piece. Thank you. Peep sights and globe can be found on crossbows way before guns were invented.
Very impressive piece. Thank you for sharing!
That's lovely!
My next project will be a flintlock version of something like this.

The Whitworth rifle?
@@forkthepork Yes! Thank you.
look for threads or signs at each end of the drop tube? could have had a steel Ram Rod insert in drop tube.
That's a beauty of a rifle, I know if I had it I would shoot it.
Wow that is a impressive rifle. Always makes me wonder what kind of accuracy you could get out of it. Another great video Ethan keep up the good work
