Blue Air Trip Report - A Flight From Luton To Bucharest

On this trip we try the Romanian airline BLUE AIR from London Luton Airport LTN to Bucharest Otopeni Airport OTP. We were flying on their Boeing 737-800, the flight time was about 3 hours.
On the flight tracker, we were at 41000 feet and it was show the speed at 12kt???? So not really sure how accurate that was.
Otopeni airport is now called Henri Coandă International Airport and is the busiest in Romania.
Blue Air have their main UK base in Liverpool that’s the reason for the planes graphics in the thumbnail.
Blue Air is the largest Romanian airline based on passenger numbers.
Blue Air offer a no frills service and you have to pay extra for luggage and any snacks and drinks on board. There is no entertainment system onboard like most European budget airlines so make sure you take your own.
The price onboard were also comparable with other budget airlines although for some unexplained reason a can of Red Bull was £5! Luckily we don’t like the stuff.
The flight arrived on time and was quite uneventful, which is obviously a good thing. We did notice that there was no announcements from the flight deck throughout the flight.

It was a straight forwards flight. You should definitely try and get to Romania.

It was a new one on us as well. They mainly fly to and from Romania.
