i had an art teacher that would always tell us to be like bamboo: not too stiff so we don't snap under the pressure, but still retain at least some structure. it's been years and i still think about her advice and i find it useful for everything, not just art. therefore, i'm gonna spread bamboo word all over the country and plant it in everybodys driveways.
bamboo is blesing and a curse THERE ARE ways to curb the invasive nature to your advantage like growing it into a fence or using STEEL box and then bricks around it so it cant pierce through it :) but let it get away from you and itll go everywhere. Also love this gameplay please do more
Taking advantage of how many attack slots a goblin can use (1 list in a straight line, 2 in a corner, 3 in a u-bend, 4 would be perfect if it's possible because you'd have 1 gnome doing the job of 4), and using goblins/plants to force invaders into squiggly lines that get attacked more times would make defense much easier~
this def looks neat, I'm always looking for Tower Defense games where you can actually maze/effect the enemy path like the original TD maps in Warcraft 3
@@OlexaYT I love it too, some of the best people I know live here. Sorry for the cynicism, state government has me a bit upset post election. Regardless, Thank you for making content that that I use to relax, your voice is so soothing
I wish there was limiters like how supergiant does and missions such as beating all maps with each tribe and that coukd grant you upgrades such as 5 extra starting coins or new items or price reduction on certain things such as the saw mill or certain gnomes.
both are managable but white bamboo is ALOT more difficult to work with as it can pierce thin metal but yeah use a thick metal box double the size of what you want for the area this way it can grow but not invade :) this is from my own personal expierance though.
You far enough from the lake in Cleaveland that all this snow from the lake storm missed you? I'm in Erie and it's been 5 days of emergency travel only
@OlexaYT it's only my third year here but I've been told it's been the worst storm in a long time. Broke our old 24 hour snowfall record on Friday so that's fun lol hope your parents stay safe.
I didnt know you live in Cleveland Ohio! I live 45mins West of Cleveland, like 15mins from Cedar Point! Fun fact I was kidnapped and dragged to Cleveland XD (I dont mind sharing cause that was like 8 years ago)
Would you consider trying out some games on steam that are also available for Mac? I’ve wanted to buy the past like 4 games you’ve played but they’re only available for windows
spatial effects like “left alone” are marked on the right side of the banner listing the effects of a relic. it’s the squares in the shape of a cross or for “left alone” it was something like 🟥 🟥 🟥 🟥 ⚪️ 🟥 🟥 🟥 🟥
Yeahhhh I really don’t care about the difference. There’s no documented and understood difference and developers will just use whatever they want, so I’ve stopped caring
@@OlexaYT I mean, there absolutely is. Roguelikes are games that are... well.. like the game Rogue. Which is a turn-based adventure RPG with some form of permadeath and randomization of the parts of the game (typically levels). They don't need EVERY aspect, but most of them. Binding of isaac is a Roguelike becuase despite being real-time, it still has the rest of the aspects. Roguelites generally have permadeath and procedurally generated levels and that's about it in common. The devs of this game don't even call it a Roguelike, so you can't really blame them. The user-tag calls it a Roguelite, though these kind of games all effectively have 'permadeath'' so it may be a bit of a stretch. It's a really cool game, but calling everything a 'Roguelike' when it has nothing to do with Rogue is definitely annoying. It gives a game false expectations. Just calling it a tower defense game would suffice. The Steam description explicitly calls the Gnomes 'towers' for a reason.
Indeed -- we've got on average 29,220 days in our lives; so what if we casually throw one away here or there getting mad over how a UA-camr classified a game? Plenty more of those where it came from!
RIP JOEDACTYL FRIZZBANG for making the ultimate sacrifice and allowing BOBDOODLE TATERTHREAD to live his best kilt wearing life.

The only thing you wrote wrong was "grammer" (grammar), and ofcourse the lack of punctuation lol. Your English is just fine ;)
@@ignore2466 lol thank you :)
Garden Gnomes? More like GUARDIN' Gnomes.
There used to be native bamboo in the USA. They’re called canebreaks and they’re nearly extinct in the modern day :(

Definitely down to see more of this!

Amazing game, needs lots of content and it'll rebuild how roguelike tower defenses are made in the future !
Awesome game, I would be happy to see more of this.
I love this aesthetic, Loop Hero pulled those same sorts of strings

Omg, one of my favorite UA-camr's is a fellow Clevelander?
I'm not the only one using escapism to ignore this place! 😂
Hey now, I love Cleveland! You just wait, this city is gonna be considered a gem in a few years

Definitely a fun one, full release will probably be crazy good
This was a great game to watch.
34:06 mfw he rerolls perhaps the two best items 😭
The gnomin' conquest continues apace.
The 4 items in the shop would have helped as the lumberjacks cause you didn’t have any free retools like the last playthrough

From what i have learned from my stepdad: white bamboo will fuck up the garden, black bamboo is manageble.
both are managable but white bamboo is ALOT more difficult to work with as it can pierce thin metal but yeah use a thick metal box double the size of what you want for the area this way it can grow but not invade :) this is from my own personal expierance though.
Just played the demo today (as it looked interesting) and had a pretty good run with Rogues! But armored enemies destroyed my base with ease.
4:00 put a meter deep sheet of metal around the bamboo area
this game looks so good
I think the "dead goblins fertilize ground" relic would have saved you if you got it early on
This is wild. Pretty big demo too. Also i blame you and your series on terra cards for losing the last few days off to it!
MORE gnomes Olexa
36:12 dude you just bought spear gnome how you dont have any spears

I’m also from the Cleveland area. Have you been getting hit by these snow storms?
Yessir, nasty out there
Game seems great.
It would be cool if you could either remove purchased inventory or buy things at half the price but they expire after 1-3 days.
