It is high on my travel list! Trying to figure out how difficult is to get there by border crossing from Senegal. As a brazilian, I see Guinea-Bissau as a country of brothers. I will visit it one day!
I would love to go someday! We may even choose to go there in July. I wouldn’t imagine many others go yet, so it would be a really cool and unique experience! It’s far from Australia tho
I am from Guinea Bissau. Well we are warriors, that's why we didn't allow the colonizers to take over our country. By the way there's no malnutrition. We eat very well.
First thing first... If you are not humble in life, you cannot come to visit Guine-Bissau. Humbleness is the only thing that will make your stay unforgettable, pleasant, joyful etc. The poverty, corruption, bad roads, lack of infrastructure, unemployment, poor health system etc are here. However, we are happy people managing and living in a stress free environment since we are blessed with nature which someh helps to balance and improve our health issues (plenty marine food, fertiliser free vegetables, herbal/traditional medicines, abundant exotic fruits, nice weather etc). I am proudly Guinean and African currently in the Motherland. So, welcome to Guiné-Bissau 🇬🇼 but don't forget to be humble because we don't take nonsense or neo-coloniser minset. Thank you for the video has it summarises my country prons and cons in 10 minutes. 🙏🏿🖤
How can you live in a stress-free environment when you freely acknowledge having poverty, corruption, bad roads, lack of infrastructure and poor health system, among other ailments ? You do not even have the bliss of ignorance.
@@answerman9933 hope you feel better now after spitting all the rubbish accumulated inside. I guess you have everything whenever you are, good health system, living in a corruption free "fake country" with amazing roads along side the tallest building, you went/are in one of the best schools/ unies and your family are earning the best salary ever and etc.. However, it's clear that you lack of happiness, living in the most stressful environment, probably alone with a pet as a companion, eating junk foods, sleeping in a 4 meter square flat with no physical but virtual friends - that is why you spend your time on UA-cam to ease up and liberate yourself from your miserable materialised life by trying to make other to feel like you. Don't worry, I don't expect you to understand what I meant as you will never get the chance to experience life that way. I🖤🌍🙏🏿
always welcome to visit the channel 👍❤️🛎. Nowadays I don’t know if they - hotels - are still open. Search Bijagos Bruce Beach on Google. There’s an hotel very nice there.
@@SweetSourTravel Many thanks for this great recommendation. I try a booking for next spring. Your vids draw my attention to this lovely destination. So far it has been almost unkown to me, but now my spirit for exploration got awake.
Everything about the people, culture is awesome! Sadly for almost 50 years we have been held ransom by, and living at the mercy of corrupt politicians and the military!
Hi! Thanks for making such a great video. I am planning on visiting soon and I was wondering how you found moving around the country. Any recommended methods for travelling long distances by road. Eventually want to end up in Senegal : )
Thank you for your comment. That's very kind. We loved visiting your country. There is so much to see, and there's still much left to explore. We hope to return there soon. Take care, and you're always welcome here.
Can people there understand me if I can speak only English? How to travel around in Guinea Bissau? Is car rental available? What is the best way to have a long stay there and experience local deeply in cost efficiency?
The best way to travel around is to get a guide or a student to be with you, otherwise it will be difficult since the country is not well organized for traveling
Hmmm I cant say I agree with this promotional video. I came by car from EU. I've traveled many African countries, but the Guineas... I would rather advice people to stay out, very sad but very true. Corruption, pollution, robbery, tubab etc. day in day out. Don't let this video fool you if you intend to travel by yourself in the Guineas.
Please ignore his ignorant comment. Our people is poor but very friendly. Tourists are welcome as long as they respect the Nature. Visit and tell the world about Guinea Bissau! 🙏

Can people there understand me if I can speak only English? How to travel around in Guinea Bissau? Is car rental available? What is the best way to have a long stay there and experience local deeply in cost efficiency?
Hi. Most of the people don’t speak English
The best way to travel around is to get a guide or a student to be with you, otherwise it will be difficult since the country is not well organized for traveling
Nevertheless the people is great
There are several small cheap hotels, and live in Guinea Bissau is very affordable
It sounds convincing. Any advice how to find a guide or student in Guinea Bissau? Any website or contact?🙂
