coldplay is one of the best group that played great live show and also it doesnt sound different like any other band that are very different when they played live and when you hear their album. and chris martin. the greatest front man alive...... kudos to coldplay !!!

This is great. I'm from the Isle of Wight and I've lived here all my life; I remember seeing this and the set that Coldplay did at the Isle of Wight Festival 2006 (that's 10 years ago! wow). I wasn't in the festival site but I was on the river bank, on the other side of the river medina, watching the show with all the hippies and freeloaders; it was amazing, you could hear the music near perfectly. Unfortunately, the Isle of Wight festival organizers wanted to tackle this issue, and so they altered the angle of the stage, and the size of it; facing away from the other river bank, towards a larger expanse of Seaclose Park. Meaning that the acoustics and the sound of the music was more muffled when listening on the other side of the River Medina.
i was at their very last gig that ended their tour at The odyssey arena in Belfast b4 the split up, and they rocked doin square one. best nite out ever,
Chris Martin has the best stage personality of any lead singer, imo. Also, the end of the song: "Is there anybody out there who Is lost and hurt and lonely too Are they bleeding all your colours into one? and if you come undone As if you've been run through Some catapult it fired you You wonder if your chance will ever come Or if you're stuck in square one" ...is the best ending to a song ever. Such a deep meaning embedded in it and yet to easy to flow with.
that timing with the countdown and the music is so good. i rememebr this as the opener for their gig at earls court. i agree with who0ligan, best gig of my life!
Yeah, I think it's ok to say Coldplay is the best band nowadays and Chris is the best singer today. If you're talking about their influences (U2, Radiohead, whtvr...), I think they're like "past" bands. It doesn't mean that they dont make success anymore, but Coldplay is a real band from this decade, different of the others. So, I can surely say: Coldplay is really the best band of today!! ;)

I've seen Bloc Party live and they sound ridiculous. But Arcade Fire are AMAZING live, that's true. I haven't seen Coldplay live yet, I will try to see them on the tour for their new album :P
Yeaah this was a good performance but now after viva la vida album their live performances became so good that I doubt anyone in the world can top it. They have more singalong songs now like viva la vida, violet hill...
Guy's bass is mixed so good in X&Y. Hate on this album all you want, IMO this is the peak of their first three albums.
