Good video, thank you. I have an issue with my fluke 115. When I turn it on, it flashes f115 like normal, but it is only 4 dashes on screen. Any ideas?
Some take OL as "off limit" and they don't even shake their heads...... I would have a hard time figuring out why a 10V tension was represented as "open line" when selecting an inappropriate, to low of a measuring range. You tell me, please.
I would NEVER purchase another fluke product! To get warranty service or a replacement part is like walking through a maze blindfolded. It's a minimum of $200.00 have someone look at it. I needed a new testing lead for the T-6 meter; the only way to get a replacement was for me to send it in. It would've cost me $300.00 for a $200.00 meter. If your meter is not under warranty you are screwed
I'm confused as to how you interpret this as a Fluke issue. Do you know many companys that fix things out of warranty for free? Sometimes repairs exceed the unit cost... inspections cost time and money... I'm not seeing how you interpret these as issues with the manufacturer?
If you’ve been trained right you know that this is the first test you do before you proceed.
I'm reminded of a maintenance foreman that would slap the meter our of my hand if I didn't ohm the leads out before checking voltages.
Thanks ❤
Dam a full Ohm on those leads? maybe you do need new leads!

What about rF error on fluke 233?
Thank you for the useful video. The work clothes are nice.
But, but, but, you'd have to have a functioning brain for this test to be valid. What does this exercise "fix"?
OL means Open Line not over load, SMH.
Some people say over load because it’s an overload of resistance aka infinite resistance or no continuity

I was taught OL means "out of limits"
No, no it means "Out of Luck".

Don’t they offer lifetime warranty?

Interesting, seems as though it's a better value to buy a new meter, which would then also come with a brand new warranty.
