- Deinonychus is a famous yet still shockingly vicious predator from the cretaceous.

While giants such as T-rex most likely wouldn't have even bothered to chase something as "puny" as a human, Deinonychos however, should it have lived in our times, would probably have been one of the most dreaded human eaters on the planet, at least as much as leopards or tigers or mountain lions can be sometimes....
However, being more bird-like , the Deinonychus must have probably been far more agressive and fearless than modern felines... Just look as how dangerous and deadly the cassuary birds of today can be .. and those are not even carnivorous, they don't even intend to eat humans and still pose such a danger to humans...
I just try to imagine a cassuary bird that is bigger , also has a pair of big jaws and all the intention of having you as its meal.... And you've got a Deinonychus perfectly described

Pretty much a murder-chook! These things were somewhat in the paddock of size depicted for the velociraptors in Jurassic Park then. They’d be something you wouldn’t want to encounter. Nicely done video! 👍🏻

In Jurassic Park Michael Crichton made the Deinonychus to be the man adversary but the editors told him that Velociraptor sounded cooler.
In the Books and the movie the Velociraptor were actually Deinonychus
That talon may have had more than one use, gripping tripping and stabbing to mention a few.

raptors' massive claw makes it very unlikely they were chasers/land ambushers, because it would be so highly impractical for running, as it would tangle into any vegetation and roots all the time, with exactly zero benefit over regular sized claws, as more mass and surface area requires more energy to operate. much more likely raptors were dive ambushers, who climbed onto trees and hanged with the massive claw and jumped onto unsuspecting prey, using the dive energy to increase the massive claw's damage potential. logically this would also lead into evolution of flight, as the better the feathered raptor could control the dive, the better chance it catched a prey.
The AI voice is challenging...I'm sure your voice would be better than listening to this thing pronounce talon like salon the whole time. 😖
