Can I share a tip I learnt by accident. If you open the folder fully, with the inside downwards, then the plastic on the spine bubbles up and you can easily put the spine name in.
I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness As Always I love your video style, genuinely refreshing and creative. Thank you so much for this educational video, I learned so much.
Aww, thank you so much Mariam! That's SO sweet of you to say and I really appreciate all your support! I love hearing that you were able to learn from my videos
Even though I am not a 'teacher' I do LOVE your videos! One small hack...I have found that the spine label is easier to insert if you open the binder. In you video the binder was closed and that orientation tends to tighten the plastic covering the spine.
I'm actually really interested in how you created a sheet for progress monitoring. I do interventions at my school and wanted to see how I could set this up. I feel like it would help a lot parents see the progress their student made at the time of having the intervention!
Hi there! I don't have a tutorial video on how to make that specific sheet but I have the template available in my Student Data Sheets here: www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Student-Data-Sheets-Google-Sheets-Template-EDITABLE-8553151
I LOVE your videos, thank you! Binder hack: open the binder and lay it flat with the binder spine face up before putting the label into it. The plastic is less taught, so it slides in easier.
In the past I have kept a similar binder system. Instead of the numbered dividers you use, I used the Avery poly dividers that have pockets on the front and back. I numbered them as well so I could use them year after year. (I generally have had smaller class sizes.) In the front pocket, I slid in data sheets of any type, IEPs or 504s and in the back pocket I placed work samples. It has worked for me, but I really like your system too. I enjoy viewing your organizational videos.
Wauw Michelle, Thank you so much for your help and the beautiful data- binder. The product is amazing. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. You made my year! It is perfect!! It has everything I wanted and could dream of. You are amazing. I wish you all the best
Thanks for a great video! I have data binders now, but these ideas take data binders to a whole new level. I especially like the clipboard cruising strategy to keep all your anecdotal notes in the same place. Also, I laughed out loud at the three whole punch Jim clip...forgot how funny that one is! Have a great week, Michelle!
Thank you so much as always Mandy! 🖤 You're the sweetest and I'm so thankful for all your support! I'm with you... I love that clip! It's a classic! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week ahead!
Aww, that's a HUGE compliment Alyson! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate you and I'm so happy you were able to learn some new things from this video!
I loved this so much! I have made them for preschool ages for things that I use with my kids, like pictures and handwriting. I am currently working on google slides. Do you have a video about how to use a name list on Google Slides?
As always, Michelle, your instructional videos are wonderful. I like the title, "Clipboard Cruising." I would put that info in my observational notes, but I so much like your title better. Quick question, is the progress tracker a cut and paste graph or did you create it? I'd like to know how it is done. I learn most, if not all, of my technology from you and this year my goal is to use data more than previous years. Please continue to make your videos. I am becoming a better teacher from your expertise and you are a joy to watch. Have a great week!
Thank you so much for all your kind words Robin! I'm so happy you enjoyed this video! I created the progress tracker template myself and I created the graph within Google Sheets. Hopefully that helps! Have a great week as well!
I'm going to be a first year teacher, (2024/2025) in 4th grade. For students who have IEP's, 504's or any other additional documents that you need to keep handy would you just put it behind their student number or my thought was to have a separate poly pocket at the back of my data binder for each student in my class that has any of these so I can have quick reference to that document and any tracking information I have collected, their special education teacher has done, or any notes that a para has taken when they worked with them in a small group.
Is it possible to do the student individual sheets by having the information pulled when clicking a dropdown for student names instead of having to type it and having to put a new tab for each student?
Thank you so much Ashley! It's available on the F&P website but here's a link to it as well: www.sbschools.net/site/handlers/filedownload.ashx?moduleinstanceid=297&dataid=274&FileName=18%20InstructionalLevelExpectations.pdf
Great video, Michelle! I like how when you enter the names on the roster it auto fills the sheets! I don’t know how to do that! Is that something you’re planning on doing a future video on?
Thank you so much! I actually already shared how to do this in my last video about 10 Google Sheets hacks for teachers: ua-cam.com/video/Ja_DiEfDeBs/v-deo.html
Thank you for watching and commenting Michelle! Wow... you teach 30 different classes that you have to track data for? How many students are in each class? Grade level binders could definitely work or you could use the numbered dividers to separate each class.
Michelle, is that really you? That beautiful reporter from the movie "Who am I?" with Jackie Chan? You have changed so much, you are unrecognisable. I'm in love with you. Is it true you?😍❤
Hi Michelle, I am adult student doing a couple of courses, I was wondering would this help with my courses ,do you have tips for me please. I love your vlogs michelle xx
I have just purchased the student data binder from TPT, but I can't watch the tutorial video. It keeps telling me that I need a codec (HEVC video extension) to play the video. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
I was wondering has anyone done this in a self contained class but gave each subject its own dedicated binder instead of keeping everything in one . And if so how did that work out ? Because sometimes I just need one subjects data and I’m wondering if being able to just grab one folder if that makes sense but please tips if anyone has modified this method or it has worked for you ?
Omg! I have said so many times that I need to pitch a better way to a page protector company. They need to make them match the size of the paper where the paper holes and the protector holes line up. I can’t use them because I cannot see my dividers! 😭
EVERYONE: I have been looking for Michelle’s turn in bins, they were black with holes for carrying it, and she had them labeled block 1 & 2 last I saw them, does anyone know where I can find them?❤
Hi Jack! The bins you're describing were from Big Lots but I got them back in 2013 so I don't think it's a product they carry anymore. Sorry about that!
Here's the link to the Student Data Sheets if you want to purchase them (they can then be printed from Google Sheets): www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Student-Data-Sheets-Google-Sheets-Template-EDITABLE-8553151
Can I share a tip I learnt by accident. If you open the folder fully, with the inside downwards, then the plastic on the spine bubbles up and you can easily put the spine name in.
That’s what I do too! Works so much easier!
Same! I was about to share the tip when I saw yours. 😊
Thanks!
Ditto!! Game changer!
This is one of those tips that I definitely knew but COMPLETELY forgot about! Thanks for the reminder Karen!

Thank you, Michelle! We just started student data binders at my school, and this video was so incredibly helpful in teaching how and what to include.
Aww, that's wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for watching and commenting Michelle! I appreciate you!
It’s Friday!! Aka, new video from Michelle! Thanks for always giving us amazing videos to watch!💜💜
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🖤 I appreciate your kind words Jack!
Thank you so much! You have helped me a lot over the past two years. You rock! ❤❤❤
I enjoyed and learned from this video, keep them coming. We, teachers, need this support 😊
Thank you so much Maya! I appreciate you watching and commenting!

Please help! How to get these?
We had PD today and if I am being completely honest, I got more out of this sixteen-minute video than I did in seven hours of PD.
I love watching these videos! I would love to see how you organise your data via google sheets ;)
Thank you so much for watching and commenting Roy!
Absolutely am a binder girl!! I don’t know Why I never thought of this! I’ve been trying to keep a filing cabinet of this stuff and it’s never worked!
Yay! I love seeing your video first thing happy Friday!❤
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🖤 I hope you had a great Friday and weekend!
Thanks Michelle ! Lots of thanks i learn from you 😇
Thank YOU for watching and commenting Esra! I'm so happy you were able to learn some new things!

Love the characters of the Office represented

I understand how it works for the entering of names. What I want to know is how to create a sheet of my own that will auto fill.
Binder spine hack-if you open the binder and slide the spine in while it's open, it's easier to slide in.
This is one of those tips that I definitely knew but COMPLETELY forgot about! Thanks for the reminder Sara!
This is my goal this year.
I found that it helps to open the binder flat, then insert the spine label.
Would you also use the student assessment sheet for standardized tests like NWEA?
Great Vlog!! I love the idea of having separate binders for each class - that would be 30 binders for me 😄😬 - maybe I can do grade level binders? 🤔
Thank you for watching and commenting Michelle! Wow... you teach 30 different classes that you have to track data for? How many students are in each class? Grade level binders could definitely work or you could use the numbered dividers to separate each class.

Love the office 🏬 characters 👌
Hi Michelle,
I am adult student doing a couple of courses, I was wondering would this help with my courses ,do you have tips for me please. I love your vlogs michelle xx
Thank you so much for watching Leanne! I'm not sure what specific tips you're looking for but if you have any specific questions, let me know!
is this video all about putting sheets into a binder?
Putting binder spines in is even easier if you open the binder up completely. It relaxes the plastic slightly.
This is one of those tips that I definitely knew but COMPLETELY forgot about! Thanks for the reminder!
I have just purchased the student data binder from TPT, but I can't watch the tutorial video. It keeps telling me that I need a codec (HEVC video extension) to play the video. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
If a # is used for a student and they withdraw.. do you reuse it with any new students? How would you do it best?
Nice tips

Is this IEP friendly?

So have videos moved to Fridays now and not Sundays?
Yes, she changed it.
That's correct! I shared this change with my email subscribers a few weeks ago!
@@PocketfulofPrimary good reminder for me to get on that list! Thanks.
The MANY crinkled binder spines. If you open the binder, it's much easier to insert the binder spine!
Greetings,
I need print out of all the documents you have clipped in file. Can you please send me.
She SELLS them. Se has all of them linked where you can purchase.
Here's the link to the Student Data Sheets if you want to purchase them (they can then be printed from Google Sheets):
www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Student-Data-Sheets-Google-Sheets-Template-EDITABLE-8553151
I am from Pakistan and I really need to have a conversation with foreign teachers to discuss some queries I am facing in my teaching career.
Hopefully you can get the help you need!
Secretary Tip: Binder spines are easier to insert when the binder is OPEN.
😍🤩
Don’t apologize for the crinkles girl it’s like asmr lol
I teach many subjects but I teach the same students
You can store data for multiple subjects within the same binder!
