I'm a startup cofounder and now trying to get into PM roles at top companies. Though I think I have PM experience, it is all informal while building and scaling up my startup. Hi Sarang, I don’t think certification is required. Some of my students got a PM certification from product school, but still couldn’t get a job. So they came to me. Almost All my students who got a PM job don’t have a certification. It matters how you build a product portfolio and package your prior experience. Make sure to check out my product portfolio video.

Hi Nancy, been following you for a while. Question: have you found most of your jobs by networking or by applying to jobs with 200+ candidates? Just saying because I think I am going to stick to 100% networking, when employers recruit, they assess me against a criteria, it becomes almost impossible.
