Nice to see these shots from that era! I recall when the Class 432s were being cannibalised for the Class 442s and the 73s worked with 4TCs on the SW mainline…they made huge arcs when racing over the pointwork at Brookwood!
Great compilation of Class 73s from back in the day!!.,but what was the 73 @6.18 doing with 3 Gat Ex coaches and an EPB Unit.??..A curious move that..Thanks.

I'm so grateful that you did film them when you did for prosperity value, I wondered what that epb was doing in that consist, maybe it was a Gatwick express suburban service ! 😅. I guess that the passengers all raced for the first two carriages for comfort and the rest slumming it on the epb .
