What I love most about the documentary that covered this was that it exposed that the film was definitely on the right track when it was cancelled. Dan Gilroy really nailed it. Coupled with Cage and of course Tim Burton's visual flair, I think it would have been great.

Honestly I think this would be a really good movie and with how the concept art looks they could probably do it animated since live action was a bit tricky, plus then they could still have the original cast if any of them is still interested

Well Nicholas Cage is Rumored to play Superman in the New Flashpoint Movie Filming Now, You Never Know they may Cast Cage as Earth 89 Superman when Flash goes to the Tim Burton Universe.

Hahaha this is an awesome script. It would need a few dialogue changes in some areas, and there are too many "final climax" moments (stopping the missiles, stopping Brainiac's lasers, stopping the skull ship from falling) but other than that it's great. Fantastic audio drama!

I can tell Zack got the idea of the the beginning of Krptons war with Zod taking the place of Brainiac. Its kinda crazy.. Brainiac is a great villain character.

That's because he was Tim Burton's number one choice for Brainiac. And there's concept art that showed his likeness from the documentary.

Sweet! Forgive my ignorance, but did this channel produce this audiobook? If so, PLEASE do Oliver Stone's CONAN next. I'd love, love, love to hear that done. I used to own the thing, which I bought off eBay because it somehow never made it onto free script sites (this was 2001 or so).
Hearing one of David Lynch's ill-fated projects would work, too. Ronny Rocket or One Saliva Bubble. Crusade, the film once pursued by Arnie and Paul Verhoeven would be a DREAM come true just to read it.

Apparently it was either Walken, Jason Lee or Jim Carrey as Brainiac. Walken as Parry White would be a way better for me. Lee as Brainiac would probably be the best choice as Carrey was already the Riddler.
No. It was cleared up on the documentary of the movie. Tim Burton confirmed his #1 choice for Brainiac was Christopher Walken. When asked if he wanted Jim Carrey, he jokingly said "Jim Carrey was even born back then?" Who would've played Perry White is unknown. Although Supervoid Cinema revealed Jon Peters was in talks of having Jack Nicholson involved with the movie and if I had to guess, he would've been Perry White.
Christopher Walken was considered for Perry White in Brett Ratner's Superman Flyby in 2003.

I know, if this had been actually made as a film back in 97/98 it probably would've flopped but I'd like to see Nicolas Cage as Superman somehow as I'd reckon he'd be rather good especially as he is apparently a huge fan of the character.
I feel the movie would've been treated like Batman Returns or Batman Forever where everyone hated it for years but would soon gain a cult following with people defending it as an "underrated movie" and those that grew up watching it, and others that would admire the insane Burton visual effects and sets.
